Hey there World 47!
Apologies for the delay in this blog, however, I simply could not make the deadline this time around with my PC breaking up and several other RL issues. However, it’s back to normal now, so I can finally post the long-awaited blog. So let’s get right in and see the changes which have taken place since the last blog was published.
Quite a few changes seem to have taken place here, FEAR are no longer a power on the world, with members joining their allies bth and some going to Wheggs. Skittl seems to have reemerged with two top 50 players and have a decent presence in k65. MadHat also seems to be back, breaking up from VEX. PwN continue their gains in MAD territory while Wheggs continue to strengthen their stronghold in K-24 and 25. Uruz seems to have grown in k64 by recruiting a couple of MAD players and seems to be spreading out from k55 into continents 54- where it is already rank 1- and 65 and 64- where it is rank 2.
The end of FEAR- a bittersweet victory for TW and Omega
The war between TW and Omega’s alliance and FEAR continued from where we left it off in the last blog. However, largely due to inactivity of frontline key players and to continued attacks by Omega, FEAR which has held its own quite well against two top 20 tribes till now, seems to have collapsed. The last week of FEAR’s existence as a top 10 tribe saw Omega and TW take a whopping 32-4 lead over FEAR. Smart diplomacy always pays off, however, and FEAR which had strong allies in bth and TEC was able to negotiate a merge with bth where many of their active members reside. Wheggs was also able to recruit some of FEAR’s players near its borders. This is an impressive win for Omega- many expected this war to go longer and credit must be given to their war coordination to defeat an equal sized opponent. However, their inability to recruit most of the active FEAR members could turn out to be a massive blow for them. How they handle the situation now, with most active FEAR players joining other tribes, remains to be seen.
The war for the Southwest- PwN vs MAD
PwN seem to have continued their dominance in the war against MAD, and have backed up their declaration with impressive ops and attacks gaining a lot of territory in the process. MAD dropped rank from 7 to 10 although this was partly due to MAD’s allies, Uruz, recruiting two of MAD’s larger players- Rainbow.Sprinkles and MneuTB. Uruz have threatened to interfere in this conflict on multiple occasions, however, until now, their presence in this war has been minimal to nonexistent. As various PwN players on the externals seem to consider the two MAD players as refugees, it seems to be a matter of time before official hostilities between the two tribes take a rough turn. PwN’s lead in war caps, which at the publishing of the last blog was 40, is now well over 110 which clearly shows that this tribe means business. How they carry on in this war, and if they can deliver the final nail in the coffin for MAD, could be a big factor in the shaping up of our beloved world.

The Southeast continues to heat up
While many would have thought that the end of Skittl would have finally drawn to a temporary end to the war which has blighted the Southeast since pretty much the inception of this world, it seems that our hopes were in vain as AMI and Uruz seem to be having a few skirmishes lately. The HamsterinDisguise account came under strong bombardment by Uruz who used army camps to try and make inroads against their opponents in AMI, who so far, have continued to defend quite well with reports of villages stacked by upto 70k spears and archers coming to light- an impressive feat for a tribe at this stage of a world. It remains to be seen how this conflict will play out, however, with AMI losing the HamsterinDisguise account, who has joined Skittl along with another player, there seems a possibility that the two big so called “elite” tribes may be able to coexist for the time being. Another interesting factor is the reformation of another Southeastern tribe, MadHat from VEX. With VEX and Uruz being allies, this can be viewed as AMI’s attempt to get its own friends in the region. However, So far this tribe has remained muted on the externals, however, what they do and which tribes they end up being diplomatically tied up to will be a key factor in the shaping up of South Eastern World 47.
Uruz: 16 ~AMI~: 3
Note: These stats may favour Uruz slightly more than the actual war stats, as some villages were gifted by an ~AMI~ player to Uruz.
Top 5 tribes
There have been a few rank changes in the top 5 tribes since the last blog. Bth and Wheggs’ recruitment of FEAR seems to be a major factor for their improvement in rank. TEC maintain rank 1, however, with whispers of skirmishes with both VEX and Wheggs, it remains to be seen how they will hold up. Uruz may also soon be test with ~AMI~, while PwN continue to dominate MAD.

Interview with King Matt II, council member of Wheggs
[6/25/2010 1:58:25 PM] Mo: (wave) Hello mate. This is farooq96 from the World 47 blog. Can you please confirm your IG/role in Wheggs.
[6/25/2010 1:59:12 PM | Edited 1:59:16 PM] Matt: King Matt II, I’m a council member/baron of Wheggs
[6/25/2010 2:00:03 PM] Mo: When did you start playing TW?
[6/25/2010 2:01:36 PM] Matt: Umm, started on W6 as a complete noob, almost got rimmed but the guy who attacked me got rimmed before he sent nobles :3 then I got an invite to CHE!!! from my beloved Bloodhood, where I learnt so much about TW and without them I wouldn’t even be here :3
[6/25/2010 2:04:36 PM] Matt: The next world I played properly was W12 with BH again, I was in .XiG. or something I forget. Didn’t really stay long as W6 took up a lot of time. Then I went to 15 in the tribe SWOR, which was fun but a failure. Then stuff happened and I quit TW for two years and came back on W45, didn’t play serious until W47 where I am still going strong. Also currently play on W50 in DIY.
[6/25/2010 2:04:59 PM] Mo: Can you shed some light on the formation of Wheggs?
[6/25/2010 2:07:45 PM] Matt: Well it originally started out as ‘the Naturals’, with Bloodhood and Uldor as the dukes, but it didn’t really work out. After several ‘rebellions’ the tribe ended up splitting, and myself, BH, and Cheesasaurus restarted and landed in K24, where we started our own tribe known as Cheggs. We later recruited Spekkio as our 4th member and stayed at that count for a month or so until we merged some skilled players into us which then helped us fight back against FEAR and kick them out of K24.
[6/25/2010 2:08:37 PM] Mo: Isnt Wheggs a merge of quite a few tribes apart from Cheggs? And it has also been called a “teaching tribe” by Bloodhound on the externals occasionally. How would you define a teaching tribe?
[6/25/2010 2:09:36 PM] Matt: Only two, the first mentioned above, and the second was a full merge of Whut?2 into Cheggs which is where the name originates.
[6/25/2010 2:10:42 PM] Mo: Do you think Wheggs can be the power of the North?
[6/25/2010 2:11:47 PM] Matt: Yea, we had members who aren’t so skilled, so as such kind generous people we are, we decided instead of just leaving them to die we decided to teach them by putting them through various tests, which so far have been a success.
[6/25/2010 2:13:29 PM | Edited 2:15:30 PM] Matt: We are the power of the north, there are no other northern tribes who could contend with us, unless you class bth as northern but they’re more western, so we currently are the power of the north in my eyes and hopefully we can hold that title.
[6/25/2010 2:15:14 PM] Mo: What would you say about potential threats in/around your areas? You just mentioned BTH, other tribes TEC also border you. Comments/thoughts about those?
[6/25/2010 2:16:20 PM] Matt: I’d say we’re trembling at the thought of them attacking us.
[6/25/2010 2:16:33 PM] Matt: (that’s sarcasm)
[6/25/2010 2:18:12 PM] Matt: TEC could possibly be a threat to us, I’d advise them to stay away from the north.
[6/25/2010 2:18:19 PM] Mo: Okay.
[6/25/2010 2:19:47 PM] Mo: what changes do you expect in the World?
[6/25/2010 2:21:39 PM] Matt: I expect Wheggs to still be here next year, they have a strong leadership and will go far. I’m not too sure about other tribes, I haven’t really been doing my research. (blush)
[6/25/2010 2:22:04 PM] Mo: If you were to predict a war right now, which one would you predict?
[6/25/2010 2:22:35 PM] Matt: You mean predict the winner of a current war, or a new war to break out?
[6/25/2010 2:22:57 PM] Matt: Probably ~AMI~ vs Uruz.
[6/25/2010 2:23:18 PM] Mo: If theres anything which youd like to change in 47 what would it be?
[6/25/2010 2:23:48 PM] Matt: Less internal whores, less turtles, no dave, more wars
[6/25/2010 2:24:22 PM] Matt: no but I’d probably delete the diplomacy option so we’d have a huge free-for-all world war. That would be fun. :3
[6/25/2010 2:24:46 PM] Mo: Anything which you’d like to say to the 47 community?
[6/25/2010 2:25:33 PM] Matt: erm..
[6/25/2010 2:25:34 PM] Matt: let me think
[6/25/2010 2:26:55 PM] Matt: I like potato wheggs?
[6/25/2010 2:27:45 PM] Mo: well thats all
[6/25/2010 2:27:50 PM] Mo: thank you
Garrock a.k.a Foggybrain, one of the founders of Uruz officially quit World 47. He was instrumental in promoting the world before it started and was later, part of the dynamic leadership team of Uruz which make Uruz the tribe which is today. World 47 will miss a key figure like Garrock and wish him luck in all endeavors in RL.
The banner competition has been won by Ekusantos. Congrats Eku <3
For next week’s competition, I want a paint drawing which which relates to World 47. It could be your tribe owning another one in war, you nobling someone who you have hated since day 1 on the world or just you having a rant at this unjust world, like I said, just about anything. The more creative the better. The best one will be published in the next blog.
That’s all folks.
