Winds of Change
November 11, 2010 in World 016 News, World News
This past week saw a couple of changes in the world. The C² vs. Plight war saw an increase in activity. The northwest also experienced a shake up as part of MAD left the tribe for C², and tensions grew between the two tribes. The world seemed to be slowing down, but perhaps this is the spark of new life to come?
First of all, I would like to thank Frail Beauty for the amazing banner she made for me. She did a wonderful job, far better than the mediocre attempt I would have created. I really appreciate her doing this for me.
Now on to the world…
It seems that a glimmer of light has come to the C²/Plight war. C² saw a jump in its conquers against Plight compared to previous weeks.
Two weeks ago:
Side 1:
Tribes: C²

Total conquers against opposite side:

Side 2: 11
Difference: 8
Points value of total conquers against opposite side:
Side 1: 147,826
Side 2: 100,841
Difference: 46,985
Last week:

Side 2:

Total conquers against opposite side:
Side 1: 148
Side 2: 19

Points value of total conquers against opposite side:
Side 1: 1,404,368
Side 2: 163,590

Upon closer inspection, it turns out that a few players make up most of this loss; AxlThecat, grandecapo, and noexit. Together, their losses add up to 111 of the 149 conquered by C² over the last week. Looking at the big picture, it’s still a very tiny dent in Plight’s numbers, but could it be a precursor of the end of this war? Or maybe C² found weak points in Plight’s defenses, and this is only a temporary spike in activity? Recently, AxlTheCat, a player respected by both sides and a long term member of =HRV=/LSHRV/SF, decided to quit and was replaced with another player. Looking at TWstats, it can be seen that noexit was inactive and that Plight had even started eating him before he was hit. TWstats also shows that grande had shown little growth lately while slowly losing villages to C². It remains to be seen whether this jump in ennoblements is an early sign of victory for C², or whether it is just another minor, insignificant victory that won’t mean that much in a few months.
In other news, there was also a recent shake up with MAD, quickly following on the heels of my last blog. Four members of MAD left to join C². There then followed some confusion, in which time a member of MAD made a post on the public forums saying C² declared on MAD. http://forum.tribalwars.net/showthread.php?t=219159
No formal declaration was made by C², but a war is a current possibility. A look at MAD’s recent conquers shows a crazy mix. C² members nobling MAD members, and vice versa. Plight nobling MAD, MAD nobling Plight. MAD is even hitting the remnants of BANG! The diplomacy may be uncertain, but it’s plain to see that all three tribes are scrambling to consolidate the northwest for good before any of the others can.
That’s all for this blog. Next week I’m hoping to bring a new idea to my blog that may be of some interest and an entertaining read. Thanks to all for reading again. Until next time, your W16 blogger and fellow spreader of carnage,
~Jurasu
