This issue will be a major breakdown of the tribes involved in the MoM vs. !?! war. We will focus on the statistics for each tribe and their impact on the war more than the conquers or OD growth. We’ll be able to see who has the most to gain and the most to lose from this war, and look at some future possibilities. Last but not least, I gathered leadership from !?!, RW, Old, and MoM into one chat to get the scoop on how this all started.

 

By now everyone should know about the MoM vs. !?! war. No matter the outcome, we will see major changes in the geography and tribal influence. RW, Old, MoM, and !?! all have the opportunity to write their own story. What we are seeing now is the first chapter; the setting, cause, and beginning action. First, we will look at what each tribe has to bring to the table. Specifically, we’ll look at tribe internalling, growth, changes, and geography that will decide whether or not these tribes survive to the end of the world.

Internal rate = total conquers/conquers against self

Point rate= total points gained/points gained from self

RW

Internalling

In the last month, RW have conquered 134 of their own villages, while conquering a total of 783.  This gives RW an internal rate of about 17%. However, that 17% of internalling accounts for 23% of their points.

Assuming their 17% rate has been consistent in their time on W56, 274 of their 1,612 are internalled villages. This means roughly 1/8th of their current villages have been nobled twice, once by an RW member and then internalled by another.

Growth

As stated above, RW have conquered 783 villages, 649 of them are outside their own tribe. They have nobled 63 villages from the !?! Family while losing 5 for a gain of 58 villages. Each village averages about 7,400 points for a gain of roughly 430k. 10% of their growth in points comes from the !?! Family, and the war just began the 13th.

Changes

RW have been slowly gaining members to replace any they’ve lost to bring their total to its highest ever at 80 members. Since the war began against the !?! Family they’ve averaged a growth of 3 million ODA per day while gaining an a lower average of around 500k ODD. In 7 days they’ve gained over 500 villages, 6 members, and 14 million ODT.

Old

Internalling

In the last month, Old have internalled 214 villages. Compared to their total conquers of 1,363 villages, they have an internal rate of 16% much like RW. Old’s point rate from internals only account for 17% of their total points, roughly the same as their village rate.

Old have 1884 villages, the highest of any tribe but MoM, even though they are only ranked 4th. The 16% internal rate means that about 301 of those villages have been internalled, 1/6th of their total. Of course it is unlikely that the internal rates for these tribes have been consistent since their beginning, but it is a good way to compare the internalling with a tribes size.

Growth

Old are hovering around the 80 member mark the same as RW, with much more minor OD gains. Since the 10th they’ve improved their ODD by 3.5 million, ODA by 11 million, and obviously their ODT by 14.5 million. In the war they are up 100-21 with a gain of 665,000 points. Each village they’ve nobled averages 8.4k so they are nobling more efficiently against the !?! Family than RW.

Changes

Old have moved their way up to rank 4 in their nobling and light recruitment. Aside from gaining rank 38 prathappa and losing a few players, there’s been relative stability in the tribe.

MoM

Internalling

This past month, MoM have internalled 215 villages, just 1 more than Old yet they have 339 more villages. Out of the 1,483 villages they’ve nobled, 14% are internals. Note that while the percents seem low, every 1% MoM internals equals nearly 15 villages (RW 1% equals nearly 8 villages, Old 1% equals 19 villages). Their point rate equals 16.5%, with 1,759,234 points coming from their own internals.

With 2,223 villages, 311 of them would be internalled, just under 1/7th of their total villages. Looking at the numbers, inactivity plays a crucial role in TW. Imagine if all the tribes we look at today never had to internal their own villages. Each tribe would have around 300 more villages. If you put that number into the war perspective, we would be looking at conquers in the hundreds for each individual tribe.

Growth and Changes

MoM is consistently around 65 members but has lost mohua. and more recently Muldeh325 left with some questions best answered by this.

I or one of the Muldie325 players will post the real story once we know how it will end. For now, I would just like to say it’s a result of some differences that appeared between the coplayers on that account. It in no way influences the way the tribe is run.

Aside from that, MoM is the consistent number one with a 63-2 lead on the !?! Family. Each conquered village averages nearly 9k points, the perfect number for any tribe this stage of the game. Their conquers are pretty evenly split between !?! and !$! which surprises me as I would focus on the better tribe first and then clean up the rest.

!?! Family (!?! and !$!)

Internalling

This section will have to go a little different as it covers two tribes instead of just one.

!?! have internalled 305 villages from the family, while it has grown 1,405. Their internal rate is just below 22% the highest of any tribe so far, but they are only one branch of the family. !$! have internalled 76 villages from the family, while gaining 703. They have the lowest internal rate with just 11%, but they are also the smallest of all the tribes mentioned. When looking at the points, !?!’s point rate is at 27% while !$! is at 13%.

To be fair, !?! has two tribes to internal from as they are the head of the family. Compared to MoM who have 2223 villages they can internal from, they have 2343 villages considered part of the family. We’ll look at the Side 1 vs. Side 2 stats later on in the issue. If you combine their internalling together they have an internal rate of about 18% of the 2113 total villages conquered.

Growth

This is a particularly tough subject to write on at the moment, as the !?! Family are not currently growing. However, they’re picking up the pace at least a little bit against their opponents with 10 conquers in the last 48 hours compared to 13 total beforehand.

Changes

Also, !?! has now dropped to rank 3, falling to Haul!

As you can see MoM, RW, and Old have pushed their way into the !?! Family from all sides and are gaining substantial territory. What happens next is up to the tribes themselves. Their internalling, growth, and changes will determine what the NE looks like in the coming weeks.

I don’t follow the externals. I am very content with the tribe that I have. I think a few other of our members post externally, but I like focusing on the game and the players in my tribe on skype. Externals take time away from that, and quite frankly make tribes look better then they are and the other way round.
So in my opinion you can’t gauge anything from the externals

I am not really into the whole leadership thing

But i have been given them
I joined this tribe as a low level member
On the bottom run of the ladder
But for some reason the tribe seem to have taken to me and i have slowly been given more and more privs
I now stand at baron rank and i am very gratefull to see that stonesoup and netcore trust me enough that they would give me these powers
But to be honest privs or not it is always nice to be on the winning team lol

My answer to that question, is I do not mind. It is better to be in a tribe that loses a war then just disbands for sure, but other then that, all but 1 tribe loses in the end. My priority is just to have fun with a good bunch of players, all growing well and becoming affluent. Although I do enjoy to be the underdog and win, that has happened a few times before

I like family tribes, they allow me to play some diplomatic tricks i have no heart to pull on normal tribes

I have no good or bad opinions of them
They are just a part of the game
I ony care about how those tribes are organised and lead

Don’t mind them, there is a member limit set for a reason, family tribes are disfunctional and no better then allies.

If they have good leadership and are there to help and teach the lower members then they can only be a good thing as they up the skill level of the average player
But alas most family tribes use the 2nd /3rd /4th tribes as storage freezers for their food

Family tribes are a waste of time. They usually end up working at a tangent to each other

I cannot say I have ever seen a successful family…

What is the difference between a coalition if you will for a gangbang and a family tribe?

Matt:
The separate tribes still have their own agenda but we are considered one

We have no real ties to each other and definately no loyalties

Where as family tribes there is always one tribe who holds power over the other
So they work less for their own gains and more for the benefit of the main tribe

And if you look at a map Old and MoM are very separate in terms of positioning

First of all, the diplomacy. allies still have their own diplomatic goals. secondly, freedom of movement between tribes

Like I said, they are no better then allies, so there isn’t much difference. All depends on amount of family tribes

ultimately, i want MoM to dominate all 4 core Ks – i do’t think that is a surpise to anyone? but S-D and Tutti want to have an interesting war, so i decided MoM will stay out of it and let both of those tribes fight for K54 on a more even ground for now
As far as i know, the S-D – Tutti NAP runs out in 2 weeks time or so

We chose the family route because when we merged we had roughly 180 members which couldn’t fit into one tribe… The idea was to let players go to get it below 100 and become one tribe. Unfortunately, X is a mass recruiter so we never got below 100. Which was a mistake by him which he can add to his collection of mistakes

If you were X and just got declared on, what would you do?

Matt:
Cry in a corner cause he knows he can’t lead a tribe in time of war.

SF / Sqid / Michal:
Point at my members, laugh at them and shout “OK, who is complaining everything is too easy now, ………… ?”

after i stopped laughing i would get to organising the defences, i would make sure we last till we can launch a first Op, and then when our first Op makes us catch up in the stats i would look for allies claiming we have already turned the war around

And hope we could ruin their expansion
It is a desperate move but as far as i see it !?! are falling and some small success against mom would earn credit and support

I wanted to get rid of Warg!
I convinced X. to merge into sheep (i mean, “declare on them”)
If X. was a good ally (which i didn’t think likely) i would get a powerful friend. If he didn’t, Sheep was a tribe much easier to take down then Warg! because Sheep bordered RW and Old, and because it’s leadership sucked, so i would get an easy to win war
Basically, a win-win scenario for me

Pfft… Nothing really. Most of the core Error members saw it as an opportunity to escape from the unorthodox and poor leadership of X. Since the declaration some other baron attempted to arrange some support with very little response… We have done barely anything in terms of offensive and ops. Been a shambles really since the declaration. Doesn’t help that X has gone inactive and the second in command is supporting the enemy and deleted xD

MoM recruited 4 players in K45 (3 from sheep), becoming the dominant tribe there by a small margin. we want those 4 players to prove themselves, so we do not plan on recruiting anyone else

Whats the plan for !?! outside the core? Will they just be left for Old and RW?

I think we have very little in terms of core now

For now, yes, but like i said, there are no agreements regarding anything between MoM, Old and RW
Except the fact we declare together and are NAPed for the time of the war

Once the war is “over” what do you think is next?

For rw we shall try and consolidate our position and maybe look to continueing east

They should be respected for the work they have done so maybe we would look to work with them
