Keep Moving

The W16 Blog has returned! This week, after a much too long interval and putting many things in my life behind me, I bring you an update on the on-going C²/Plight war, including Blitz. Parts of the world are quieting while others seem to just be heating up.

I know I seem like a broken record, but again I apologize for going so long without posting a blog. On the bright side, it lead to me receiving some supporting mails from players who enjoy my writing, which is very encouraging. I think I write well, but it’s always nice to hear it confirmed by someone else. These last six weeks were some of the eventful of my life. Finishing up highschool, graduating, participating in a large chess tournament that I’d be practicing for months for and doing quite well, going on a two week family vacation (which I didn’t talk about publicly beforehand for obvious reasons), going to college orientation and registering for classes for this coming up fall, and helping support some friends through some hard times in their own lives. But enough about me. If you readers really wanted to know about my life, you’d be mailing me asking when my autobiography was going to be published, not when the next blog would be posted, so without further ado, here’s the first of a regular series of blogs that haven’t been posted in a long time.

The last time I covered the Plight/C² war was back in February, over four months ago. Much has happened in that time. Most noticeable as well as having a large impact was the split in Plight, with players leaving to join Hey =), which later became Blitz.

Comparing the two maps, we can see that C² has made significant gains in a few areas, most notably taking control of K66 and K68, as well as making pushes into K23, K57, K77, and K78.

Side 1:
Tribes: C²
Side 2:
Tribes: Plight, *MK*, Blitz

Timeframe: 15/02/2011 00:00:00 to 23/06/2011 07:34:25

Total conquers against opposite side:

Side 1: 2,919
Side 2: 523
Difference: 2,396

Points value of total conquers against opposite side:

Side 1: 26,928,848
Side 2: 4,873,937
Difference: 22,054,911

The war stats also indicate that C² has been winning the war in the last few months by a fairly wide margin. However, the stats don’t tell the whole story, especially when looking at the recent past. Let’s look at the last two weeks.

Side 1:
Tribes: C²
Side 2:
Tribes: Plight, *MK*, Blitz

Timeframe: 09/06/2011 00:00:00 to 23/06/2011 07:39:28

Total conquers against opposite side:

Side 1: 150
Side 2: 101
Difference: 49

Points value of total conquers against opposite side:

Side 1: 1,345,936
Side 2: 934,810
Difference: 411,126

While the war stats still show C² leading in conquers in the war, the ratio has closed considerably. Looking at the last four months, C² lead with a ratio of 11 villages taken for every two villages lost. In the last two weeks, that lead has shrunk to 3 villages taken for every two lost.

Plight is also beginning to work on something that they had not done well with since the beginning of the war, eating inactives. Despite the split, Blitz and Plight appear to be on good terms as the two tribes share inactives to be nobled.

While the short term results are readily apparent to anyone who pays attention, whether or not these changes will have any effect on the outcome of the war is yet to be seen. C² has lead from the very beginning of the war, and that will take many months to turn around, rather than a few weeks of spiked activity.

While the future is as foggy as ever, one thing is for certain. This war has the potential to get much more interesting in the days to come. Thank you again for all of you continuing to read my blogs. Until next time, your W16 blogger and fellow spreader of carnage,

~Jurasu
