Hello World 49! Welcome to my first ever issue of the World 49 blog. In this issue I shall be covering the current rankings of the top 20 tribes, the DuesEx situation and of course, the biggest news of it all, the ending of the Non-Aggression Pact between Deceit and BMF. The two giants of world 49. Lastly, I will have an interview with Terrafutan, not just about the war but also about DeusEx. I hope you enjoy the read!
Top 20 tribes
As you can see from the rankings Deceit still stand strong in the rank 1 position, now leading with 60 million point gap. BMF follow in rank two, trying their hardest to catch Deceit. In third and fourth, we have the two ‘basher’ tribes, *VLN* and CLN. In rank 5 we have DeusEx, who has recently dropped from rank 3 due to, what seems to be, internal issues between the members. From rank 6-20 we have the rest of the smaller tribes who are spread out among the rim, and throughout the giants territories, fighting for their survival.
The smaller rim tribes have a huge task ahead of them if they wish to survive the oncoming onslaught, and I wish them all good luck.
Now on the topic everyone is talking about…
NAP Ending
This is how it stands at the moment. On June 14th, at 21:57 Sergei, a leader of Deceit, announced to the world that the NAP between Deceit and BMF was to end. Deceit have given BMF 10 days notice before they let loose, this is said to honour the original terms of the agreement. The ten days are up this Friday, on the 24th of June, 22:00ST. Both sides are gearing up for war, front lines are being stacked, ops being planned and any other last minute preparations are being sorted by both sides.
Deceit and BMF are not alone in this war either, each side has their own basher/allied tribes. Fighting with Deceit we have *VLN*, long standing allies to Deceit. Together they have fought many wars, some of which included Tag! and the EHorde family. Fighting with BMF we have CLN, a recently formed tribe, they seem to be made up of the smaller Ex BMF members and DuesEx members. Their roster also include many of the other bigger players from the smaller tribes which were dotted around BMF territory. Overall, Deceit and *VLN* are bigger than BMF and CLN in every way.
Now we know what the sides are lets have a quick look at the positioning. As you can see BMF and Deceit share a huge 11k front, which stretches from the very northern point of the world to the very southern point of the world. On top of that BMF share another front line with another set of Deceit and *VLN* player who were recruited from the collapse of DuesEx. This could play a huge role in the war, this could force BMF to take the vital support away from their already massive front line with Deceit.
With all that said, it does not mean a lot. This war is going to be a long and drawn out one, with the BMF side having a chance of winning still. I would also just like to say that throughout the whole war I shall be bringing coverage of the latest happenings and statistics in each of my blogs. I will also be bringing you interviews with hopefully the leaders of the tribes and many of the front line players.
Well, that just about covers it, all we can do now is wait. I would like to wish both sides very good luck in the coming war and hope that you all have fun, I hope to see most of you on the frontlines.

DuesEx – What really did happen?
This topic has been discussed a bit in the forums, amongst all the war talk and trash talking. What happened to DuesEx and why? It is clear that there must have been a split in agreement somewhere along the line. Some of the DuesEx members and one of the old dukes have gone to CLN and BMF, while others, along with the other of their old dukes, have gone to *VLN* and Deceit.
Now you may be asking yourself, why is this important anyway? Well two reasons mainly, first of all the war. It changes the whole status quo, what was meant to be an more evenly matched East Vs West scenario, is now a more one sided fight with it being more West + South East Vs Core + North East. Secondly, when this happened, it looked like from the outside that DuesEx was stable and sound. It looked like they were ready for the coming war and nothing was going to stop them. So, finally, what did happen? Well for that we go to my interview with one of their old dukes, Terrafutan.

Good day and Welcome to the interview, it’s a pleasure to meet you  . So, first of all please tell me, and the readers, a bit about yourself on tribalwars, past worlds and experience?
Most people know me as Terrafutan. I am the last of the dot net beta testers left still actively playing, and have been for a few years I also mod in game for worlds 41 to 55, excluding 49 of course.
I played W1 before and after it was wiped when dot net went live. Ran a tribe called HT Warriors, which didn’t last a year before I took a break. When I came back we had a few more worlds which I dabbled in, the only notables were much later with W16 and W22.
Currently only play 1 world at a time, and chose worlds based on new settings. W49 was chosen for the forts 
Ah yes, the army camps. Interesting things they were, I liked the idea of being able to strike your enemy from right in the middle of them. Anyway, before we veer to far off topic, what are your views on world 49? Has it been a fun? Have you enjoyed yourself here?
It has been an awesome experience, but at times humbling. I’ve met a lot of great people, some still here, others leaving due to real life tragedies that make you realise that at the end of the day, this is just a game.
I am still upset that they took the forts away, I feel this world is now a defenders haven due to the current rule set.
Where do you see yourself in a few months time?

Hehe, as I like to say, expect the worse and be pleasantly surprised when it goes better. Anyway, on to the big question. What happened in DuesEx?
I’m not actually 100% sure. I think only a few people will really know what happened. From my side of things, myself and my co duke were not seeing eye to eye on some small issues, I had just been dumped with double the workload due to a work colleague resigning, so I decided to just get out for a bit to avoid burning out prior to the great war kicking off.
One thing lead to another and soon I had a few tribe mates joining me rather than stay where they weren’t happy.
Things got a bit heated and while I tried to stay out of it, there was an argument between allied leadership which led up to a ‘war’ between allies.
How much of that was planned in advance, I can only speculate, but I have worked hard for the past 8 months getting my tribe strategically ready for the east west war. To have it turn out this way is a bitter pill to swallow, and with hindsight all my fault I feel. If I could go back and change that day I left, I would in a heartbeat.
Apologies to all my friends (even the backstabbing traitors – stop mailing me already) for causing the issue in the first place.
I can honestly say, that if it was your fault, It takes a lot to own up and say sorry, so if it’s worth anything I highly respect that and im sure the readers will too. Anyway, on we go! So, why did you pick BMF’s side of the war?
I was asked by a Deceit member last week or two, something along the lines of ‘Why don’t you join the winning side’. I honestly prefer not to. If I want to be good at what I do, I have to play with and against those I consider good enough. I also much prefer to play on the underdog side, as its much more of a fun challenge. I have good friends in BMF, and being in this location, I think its the only logical choice to make.
It’s obviously going to be more interesting and a lot harder now that Deceit have hugged half of the players in the east.
How do you feel CLN + BMF will do in this war? Do you believe they can go all the way to winning it?
I think we will do well enough. There are some excellent players in BMF with strong and strategic leadership in place, as I know there to be in Deceit too.
Very clever move to get some cannon fodder in the rear for us to waste our nukes on, while the front line is now less static than I envisaged
I’m not sure this type of war can be won though. This is not going to be a one month war, it will be long, drawn out and bloody. Attrition due to inactivity will play a part, as will diplomacy and the individual players integrity which we already know is sorely lacking.
I’m in Deceit and I still wouldn’t rule you guys out yet, it’s going to be a tough one for us as well. Finally, anything else you would like to say?
I couldn’t wait another 10 days for the war to start, so while Deceit may be beating me in caps (silly outpost villages) I am still beating them in ODA.
So I suppose my final words to the deceitful villains would be…

So there you have it, all it takes is a few disagreements and even the most stable looking tribe can come crumbling down. I know I said I would wait until next week, but I have decided to edit in VMP’s interview and his view so that the stories are more easily compared and so that I can concentrate the second blog more on the war which is what my aim is.

Ok, hello, welcome to the interview. Tell me a bit about yourself on tribalwars.
I played few worlds before W49, but my main experience I gained here. In w49 i was duke of ~TMW~, baron of ~TR~, and council member of NiON in NiON’s last days. I always prefered well disciplined war tribes with strong leadership. After NiON fallen apart, I had two options: to join BMF and to be together with my friends a.k.a.master and PORTA02, or to go do DeusEx and to make second east big tribe for end game. I choose the 2nd option and became a duke of DeusEx.
Ok, any reason why you picked DuesEx over BMF?
My friends master and porta asked me to make strong BMF ally from DeusEx. I did it 101%. DeusEx quickly became 3rd power in w49 in points and in OD. I made it in about 4 months, thanks to my friends from NiON, who became DeusEx hard core. that core never betrayed DeusEx and our idea, unlike other “parts” of the tribe, who always choose the easier way.
Ok, So the big question on people’s minds. In your view, what happened to DuesEx?
After my friends porta and master became inactive due the RL issues, new BMF leadership, who is less experienced, declined our old deals. They had only one condition: DeusEx must be an academy tribe of BMF. They said that DeusEx must be their “defense troops source” without any rights. I thought that is unacceptable. Since february, DeusEx nobled equal amount of villages with BMF, although we were smaller about 50%. It witnesses that DeusEx was more active and better organized tribe then BMF. But, my co-duke futan thought that we must accept BMF’s ultimatum, that we must be their bashers. I always plead for strong alliance, but for DeusEx independence. I received 100% support for my ideas on tribal forum and majority in council. after that futan left the tribe, with excuse of RL issues. he became BMF basher, but he didn’t told that straightly to people who followed him. now they know that BMF only wants their defensive troops. i warned them about that for weeks…
Ah I see. This is quite different to what futan has said and should make for an interesting discussion from both sides. Only two more questions now. What are your feelings about the up coming war? Do you believe Deceit if going to walk all over BMF or do you believe BMF still have a fighting chance?
Hmm I know BMF very well. I was some kind of “shadow” BMF leader from december to april. i knew their secrets, and I created East policy with master and porta. It was our big deal, and we 3 made all decisions – without futan (that is the reason why futan hated me and made a pact with new, young BMF leaders). From my opinion, BMF always had problems in wars. that was the reason why i made DeusEx – to help BMF to deal with smaller tribes like THUNDR, ~War~, NUTSAK, DALR etc. They had a huge problem with THUNDR and ~War~ for example. They “won” all wars only by splitting other tribes and merging their players – never on battlefield. They always had some “futans” in other tribes, and they offered them places in BMF council for betray. And they betrayed. They offered the same to me, since april, but i always declined. Now is something very different. sergei and linda won’t accept positions in BMF council, i’m sure. so BMF must fight now. i know how nervous they are, and i provoke them to fight. they cheated some DeusEx members, told them that I’ll stay alone and will be rimmed. That is not fully true. Everyone can be rimmed, but i won’t be alone, that’s sure. Deceit is only superb tribe in w49 and everybody knows that. That’s why BMF young leaders are so nervous in last 2 months. and with DeusEx hard core in Deceit, BMF will be our farm very soon.
Ok Final one, Is there anything else you would like to say?
I want to say thanks to my friends who always believed in my words and my judgement. They knew that I never fought for myself – always FOR US. Sadly, futan didn’t recognized my efforts as well, maybe because he never was main DeusEx leader after i joined in December. I always told to him that I will never betray him, and I never did! He always made small “cover alliances” against me, and I knew that…I want everybody to know who are the bravest and most loyal players from DeusEx: AhChia, bellybuster, philbau, jhaypatts, BETHSADA THE GREAT, Stranger1199, five nine, dodru, trollzy, bobthedread, kak-tarua, A78anwar, lord rossi. With them, and with my great friend sergei and mates from Deceit and *VLN*, future of w49 is reserved FOR US.VMP1

lol @ VMP claiming that BMF was going to be using DuesEx only for their defense. i personally organized a large inactive BMF account to be nobled by DuesEx so they could get a decent front with Deceit for the upcoming war. what a load of bs.
The members that joined deceit are gonna be used as a distraction. they practically suicided when they chose to change sides. But what do u expect, most of them are young guns who don’t get what this game is really about. You can see from these interviews that the vets that really understand this game (Terrafutan – world 1 veteran) chose BMF, and the beginners VMP (most experience from 49) chose Deceit.
Also deceit broke agreements by recruiting in our territory when from the beginning of this world we have always been truthful with each other and the agreement was always east vs. west. I guess they had no confidence in their skills. no honor.
All this doesn’t matter because BMF will still whoop their butts.

I’ve seen alot of crap slung here mostly by people it seems that they either can’t give facts to there angry comments or plain don’t have a clue….
I support Westie, Sergei, Firefox, sarge, & my decision. It was a tactic move that allowed us to gain some new skilled members and open new fronts with an enemy. i say well played Deceit/*VLN* alliance ;P

the way I see it is that the players that joined vln and deceit from deusex are suiciding from, becuase they have surely no chance of surviving. When the war starts it will show … just a bit sad for them seeing them go … it doesnt matter now that they will get rimmed because they thought they saw the light or something with their plan (thats what vmp only said in the internal deusex forum ”light”. but i think they saw the fire in their villages burning down as their peole are dying from the future winner of this world. their troops morale low and hatin each other for killin their ex camarades …
Im rooting for the underdogs BMF and CLN …i hope it is a fun war for it will be W49′s last

I disagree with the comment about being one sided. You only pointed the obvious about BMF being a bit of an underdog in this battle, but never disrespecting them.
As far as the DeusEx divide…too bad, but the world goes on. Decisions were made and sides chosen. Everything happens for a reason and you have to just adapt and move on. It happened to ~SP~, now to DeusEx and I’m sure it won’t be the last time.
Now lets let the nukes do the talking.
@fu – your interview convinced me that the truth is hidden. you call traitors on your teammates not following you? you use RL reasons to DeusEx members when you left and same reason here in BLOG. why not tell the truth that you cannot defend yourself on council forum because of your weak leadership skills? council decided and you must accept it.
@vmp1 – your interview is simple but summarizes all and it is the truth.
@bmf – hoping ex deusex members will not see/read this blog, and if so, they will leave your tribe.

The blog was really informative, but i felt throughout the blog that the author was a bit one sided, anyways I don’t feel anything for vmp. Futan only mistake was to trust VMP -.- … I don’t see why VMP would side with Deceit? In my opinion he destroyed Deusex that was created by Futan. Now he is all taking the players that followed him to hell. I feel more like deceit gonna use the ex Duesex members that joined Deceit and its allies as a distraction. ex Duesex members will more be likely fall but the rest of deceit may win this war …
