It’s A Woman’s World 50

 The “Fairer” Warrior

One definition of warrior is a person who shows great vigor, courage or aggressiveness. Patti aka Reoan, Monika aka Demonika, Deb aka Sweetmisery, Silly Christy aka Smexy Hippo and Wickedsweetone all not only live up to this definition they exceed it. I hope while you read these interviews you will find yourself one moment laughing with these women and the next moment feeling their wrath.

After interviewing so many smart and fascinating women warriors I have come to a few conclusions. First of I was worried that interviewing these women I would run into cattiness or barriers in which I wouldn’t be able to penetrate. I know most of you out there would have expected the same but each of these women allowed me not only to interview them but to actually get to know them, to know them as warriors, women and as friends. You will really get a good idea of what makes them tick. There is a common thread through out these very different women. That thread is strength. Not just the strength of their armies or battle field techniques but in their core. They all, in some way, some shape,  have stood up for what they believe in and I do not think that a single one of them regret it.  I could also see a softer side to each of these women; compassionate, fair and loyal are just few of the characteristics I would use to describe them. Though do not think they will be easy targets on the battle field just simply because they are the “fairer” sex. They are also all equally capable of being vicious, vengeful and protective of what they consider to be rightfully their’s. These women made me proud to call myself not only a woman but a woman warrior.

Some of you may ask what this video has to do with this blog?? Well let it just serve as a reminder for all of you out there that us woman can wear boots and not only can we wear them for walking but also for kicking ass. Oh yeah we can wear pants too when we want to!

With no further ado and in no particular order here are the interviews………

Demonika

Jen:

How long have you played Tribalwars?

Demonika:

About 2 years I think.

Jen:

Did you start at the beginning of world 50?

Demonika:

My first world was 45, I think I joined 50 very late…I was on 46 with cwolffgurl and I found out she was on 50 so I went there…got an easy rim space.

Jen:

Did you start on the Demonika account?

Demonika:

Yep
Only one I have ever played on.

Jen:

How did you pick that account name?

Demonika:

My name is Monika and I like to pretend to be evil.
Muahahahahaha

Jen:

What can you tell me about your personal style of playing?

Demonika:

Hmmm, I am pretty well rounded I think.
I like to control my core villas by establishing “rules” or a rapport with my neighbors.
Then I build outside clusters of front line villas supplied from safety far away.
I tried to build a ruthless but fair reputation so I don’t have to fight as much as many folks…kinda like martial arts…learn to fight so you don’t have to…
I probably have 40 people around me that I have informal agreements with of no attacks/barbling.
I only make agreements with people that are nice, honest, and not a long term threat lol…most end up going barb or gifting me their villas.
And I LOVE LOVE LOVE catapults!

Jen:

What is your personal opinion on barb nobling?

Demonika:

I do it for purpose without a thought about it…in my opinion people that are zero barb folks are very impressive because it is harder to do but I think they might take it too far kinda like wine snobs not drinking white wine with a steak…I also love grabbing bonus villas cheaply from little people…think about it…if 500 of my villas are bonus when the end game starts I should have a serious advantage over a non bonus barb taking person…however that being said I have rimmed/deleted players that take barbs near me.
It’s easy to move into a new k by grabbing 20 barbs…no fight, full warehouse, easy expansion…but then again that is what the purest dislike the easy part i think…more power to them but i like a couple easy villas here and there!

Jen:

Do you remember what tribe you were first in on world 50?

Demonika:

Wow no but I can look…I know I was in MOH early on.
I was in a few tiny ones then went moh to naka to toyz to school to oda in a nutshell.

Jen:

There was a time you ended up in DDD for a minute too but then back to ODA can you explain what happened there?

Demonika:

Sure, I was working for 30 days straight and had not logged in.
My co Duane took off and left my account to be eaten.
When I logged back in I blocked him out and started to recover…some of my good friends lpato1 and merlin were DDD and my neighbors…I also had friends in munch and they were about to war each other.
Sooooo I joined DDD but told munch I didn’t want to fight them but I would if they didn’t merge…so i set up the merge then left to go back to oda.
The merge didn’t stick but I was just trying to not be in the middle of a war between all my friends…it was basically all my west side friends vs my east side friends, lol, it was funny as heck.

Jen:

When you start a new world what is your start up plan?

Demonika:

I love start up I have played a few since just to practice…
I go full on troops…100 spear then all LC then axe…lots of farming killing neighbors right away…I usually let 5-6 build up around me…especially ones I think are going hard resources  buildings…I might scout them and chat…once their resources hit 20 or so I clear them and farm them…I never get a second villa early…
I get my barracks to 20 or 21 as fast as possible…try to stay away from tribes as much as possible unless I find one that wont recruit my neighbors…
My villa is usually at 4000+ before I get a noble…try to take villas at least 6-10 spaces away so lots of farms are around…I usually quit a world between 5-20 villas…I hate getting caught up…making new friends then leaving…and I LOVE w 50 so I don’t want to take away from that..
And if I play 2 worlds my hubby says he will divorce me…that might be the real reason. (smirk)

Jen:

Who do you admire the most on world 50?

Demonika:

There are a few for sure…to name some and try not to be too clichéd…lakewind, smexy, covert…I really also admire the cats that got beat up pretty bad but held on and just kept battling…real warriors like orsio for one.
For friends merlin was a good one and Ipato1.
I <3 <3 <3 wickedsweetone...and I miss cwolffgurl too....

Jen:

In your opinion what makes a talented player?

Demonika:

Basic skills go a very long way…and lots of time on your hands LOL…learning to use scripts and do the basics like snipe, stack, recap…you can exist forever in my opinion with those basics nailed…it helps to be an insomniac like me too…
People skills come in second…talking your way out of a losing battle or into a winning tribe can make the difference between the end and the rim…half the players in big tribes now are only still alive because they somehow talked their way into a large safe tribe *cough* *hermit* *cough*.

Jen:

Speaking of Hermit, what are your thoughts or opinions on the war with them?

Demonika:

Just a matter of time truly…kind of a grind…they are just starting to realize how outmatched they are…some are starting to just noble out to the rim instead of fight for villas they lose…some of them are awfully nice though I like to chat a bit…but I have yet to go up against a really gifted player.

Jen:

As a woman how do you feel about being a top player?

Demonika:

Gracious, me, I’m like 15 I dunno bout being top but thank you :) I love being up there in the number though but lots girls are doing it…it’s just the thing for a competitive alpha female with a laptop attached to her hip.

Jen:

Does being a woman give you any advantages or disadvantages on the battle field?

Demonika:

It can.
When I want something I sign my name “monika” when writing to ask for it…someone called me out on that, lol…when I want to be feared I dont sign…I want to intimidate.

Jen:

As a woman do you ever feel you are treated differently than the men?

Demonika:

Never…at least not by my tribe or having to do with the actual playing of the game…early on you get a few flirty boys that need blocking…once in a while a sex related comment…but I give as good as I get… :P

Jen:

Do you think that there is any real difference at the end of the day between male warriors and female warriors?

Demonika:

Maybe here and there but not as a general rule. I think…maybe different styles of play…I tend to hold a grudge more so than most men… it is a fault of mine and many women. I know to remember past transgressions, lol.

Jen:

What has been your funniest TribalWars moment?

Demonika:

Wow funniest I dunno…probably sitting people’s accounts and starting sheet…one time I started a “dirty” convo while sitting and it turns out they continued it and actually met in rea life months later…NO, I am not mentioning names…hehe so cool.

Jen:

What is the worst/funniest pick up line you have got from a guy in TribalWars?

Demonika:

Yeah so I tell boys “I am old fat and married” one time on w60 just a few weeks ago this guy next to me replies “bring it on fatty I’ll hit anything” OMG, I think I hit delete the next day…
Want his number? lol.

Jen:

Lmao, No I will pass.
Did you read my first blog with my odd facts about myself?

Demonika:

No, I have not but I want to check it all out fo sho…where is it? I have been in a hole lately.

Jen:

Lol, no worries, I asked because I wanted you to give me an odd fact about yourself, I said things like I dont use smilies and I refuse to eat blue dyed foods, really random stuff.

Demonika:

I have lots of weird things take your pick! i use too many :$]:) etc, I look back sometimes and every single line has a smiley…I just smile a lot in general…I also almost always use”…”one big run on sentence I like to think like Hemingway…the strangest thing about me is that I travel/live in an RV 7 months of the year selling hippie clothing at music festivals for a living…so if you see some old fat chick at a festival on a laptop tapping alt f over and over that’s me ;)

Smexy Hippo

Jen:

How long have you played TribalWars?

Silly Christy:

Since ’09

Jen:

Did you start at the beginning of world 50?

Silly Christy:

Yes… I think a month into the start of w50.
Our account started late.

Jen:

So you did start under the smexy hippo account, right?

Silly Christy:

Actually, We were originally gay hippo n got permanent banned for the name.
But we told the mods was unfair so they let us change it to smexy hippo.
Yea we said gay was happy.
They didnt care, lol.

Jen:

Did you lose villages over it?

Silly Christy:

No we didn’t lose villages but we did lose about 4 days play time which isn’t good at the beginning of the world when you really need to farm, clear your area and grow.
I think we were around 45k points when we got banned.

Jen:

Whats is your start up plan at the beginning of a world?

Silly Christy:

Clear everyone around me.

Don’t let tribemates be close to me.
Close enough where we can support each other and coordinate attacks but far enough away we can grow.

Jen:

What was your first tribe?

Silly Christy:

Hmmmm,
H3 or envy.
Then carebears.

Jen:

Whats your opinion on barb nobling?

Silly Christy:

Lol, well it differs from my coplayers :D
I think its necessary to fill in gaps and make tight clusters.
Depends on targets at the time.
If there is a lot of targets I will take a few large ones and cat the rest.
My cos prefer to cat em.

Jen:

Who do you admire on world 50?

Silly Christy:

There are a few but we never would have gotten as far as we did without my co, Dan.
I mean when I started 1984 it was a fluke, lol.
It was the people who kept us in the game.
So there are a lot of people.

Horse & choccy on commando account… I knew them since w43.
They stuck w me when carebears disbanded.
Lakewind because he stuck up against school when he knew they were in the wrong.
My whole tribe is filled with friends from past worlds or good friends of tribemates.
We don’t invite people we haven’t known.

1984 In and of itself is a tribe to admire… we all work together and never have to worry about spies.

Jen:

What in your eyes makes a talented player?

Silly Christy:

Well, There are two types of good general players and one extraordinary type.
People who can talk their way into getting what they want and people who are good. attackers/defenders… to the real talented players can do both ;)

Jen:

You were in school for about 10 days then back to 1984 what happened there?

Silly Christy:

Well, leadership was terrible and whenever we needed even simple answers it took days to get one :|
The other part that was bad was our targets were on a ‘PA’ list.
Which was ridiculous.
All these people were allowed 2 grow in our clusters, nubs.
Just because they had a friendly mail with someone in school and now all of a sudden they’re on a friends list?
|-(
To be fair though…
School never liked us because we joined carebears instead of them.
So we weren’t really ever welcome from the start.
They also accused us of bullying them, (chuckle).

Jen:

Lol, well that leads into my next question.
Your tribe has the reputation of being bullies how do you feel about that?

Silly Christy:

We aren’t bullies… we are actually very fair.
We just don’t take crap and bend over for people.
There is a difference.
If we weren’t fair I’d say we were bullies.
And if you look at every situation you will see we were fair.
But everyone puts loads of situations together and calls us bullies.
They can call us whatever they want, lol, I don’t care, lol.

Jen:

Ok, you have also been called brown nosers too what do you think about this?

Silly Christy:

Well you can either be one or the other.
You cant get a huge fighting reputation and be called bullies
to be brown nosers.
Lol
If we were brown nosers we would have stayed in school in the first place.

Jen:

Good point.
How would you describe your personal playing style?

Silly Christy:

Well
I like to get my way, lol.
I like clusters and people not  to get in between my clusters.
So if you are a friend I’m glad to have you near me.
I will do anything to help you… support or attack people.
If you are an enemy I will cat or noble you depends if you are worth taking.
But I only play with friends.
I have had on other worlds people betray the tribe I was in.
It’s not cool because you work so hard.
So thats y we kept 1984 small
because were all close.
We dont even have much in our forums.
It’s like family talk on skype all day, lol.

Jen:

Sounds fun, the way it should be.

Silly Christy:

When the fun stops, it’s time to quit, lol.

Jen:

Yes, definitely.
Do you have any opinions or views that your willing share about the war with 1984, ODA and Hermit?

Silly Christy:

We’re way past the stage where nooby tribes like hermit should have been weeded out so This has been a long time coming for hermit. 1984 has done little in the war as of yet, Mostly defense but rob & tria (onewisesoul) has kicked their ass.

Overall its oda who have done themselves proud, the stats would be the same with or without 1984.

Jen:

As a woman how do you feel about being a top player?

Silly Christy:

Hmmmm,
Well I think all women should stick together to be honest.
But it seems most women don’t get along.
The women in 1984 stick together and I think thats what kept us being successful.
Tracey always had an issue with me (duke of school) when we had problems.
Probably because I wasn’t persuaded by her looks like the guys were.
But I think being on top is awesome, lol.

Jen:

Do you think being a woman gives you any advantages or disadvantages on the battle field?

Silly Christy:

I think it gives you both.
Because you have to work harder to prove yourself.
You have to prove you are as good/capable as the guys.
The advantage is that some people are willing to be ‘nicer’ to you than if you were a guy and help you more.
Also I am not afraid to ask for help.
Like most guys are.
Lol

Its like asking for directions when you are lost :D

Jen:

Lol, yes definitely.
As a woman in TribalWars do you ever feel you are treated differently?

Silly Christy:

Yep,
When guys want get under my skin if were arguing they will call me babe
Or darling.
Ticks me off.
Silly Christy sends cats!
Lol
Some people are nicer because they don’t want to be mean to a girl.
Very few people treat you the same.
And some are not nice, lol.
Because if I was a guy they wouldn’t do that.

Jen:

Are there any other differences between being a female warrior than a male warrior that you can think of?

Silly Christy:

Well, you definitely have to prove yourself.
I think people assume I cant hold my own.
But
I prefer being a girl and playing
Because with the exceptions of the idiots
Most people respect you more when you stand your ground and they know you wont take crap but at the same time they feel they can come to me when they need anything
Which I like.
If I was a guy I don’t think people would open up as much as they do.
And I like being close to everyone in my tribe :)

Jen:

You can definitely get people to talk more in this game if your female.

Silly Christy:

Yea :)
And people is what keeps me here.

Jen:

What has been your funniest tw moment?

Silly Christy:

Hmmmm,
Probably reading dan’s mails to noobs, lol.
One time he wrote a story and sent it to a tribe we were warring.
It was so funny I cried I was laughing so hard, lol.

Extra SelectShow

Jen:

Ok thanks
Did you read my blog and see the odd fact about me?

Silly Christy:

No?
Sorry ive been workin ALOT
Do you have dan on skype?

Jen:

No I’m not offended you haven’t read it, basically I told weird random facts about myself, like i never use smilies and i refuse to eat blue food and I was just going to ask you to give me and odd fact about yourself.

Silly Christy:

Omg I love blue food, lol.
Hmmm, random weird fact…
I laugh ALOT
Like
Over everythingggg
Lol, Whenever you see lol when I’m typing… I’m laughing.
Lol

Jen:

What is the worst or funniest pick up line from a guy on tribal wars that you have ran into?

Silly Christy:

Hmmmmm
Well I’ve had some crazy ones through tw but nothing like I see our villages combined baby if you know what i mean :P
:D

Jen:

Thats the last of the questions is there anything else you want the world to know that I didn’t go over?

Silly Christy:

Well I did drag friends here with me from my original world.
The beginning people in 1984 were all friends of mine from previous worlds that I’ve known for yearsssss.
Only a few newer ones
And this is the first tribe where I can say the women dominate! lol

Jen:

That is awesome.

Silly Christy:

Best tribe I’ve ever been in.

Sweetmisery

Jen:

How long have you played tribal wars?

Deb / sweetmisery:

I don’t know too long? started playing W9 as seawardorange, maybe 5 years.

Jen:

Long time
Did you start world 50 at the beginning of the world?

Deb / sweetmisery:

Yes started w50 at the beginning but was spending too much time on another world and that hurt me in the beginning.

Jen:

Did you start on the sweetmisery account?

Deb / sweetmisery:

Yes

Jen:

How did you pick your account name?

Deb / sweetmisery:

I have know idea how that came about. just knew I wanted to leave the memory of seawardorange in w25 behind,
A new start.

Jen:

Tell me about your style of play, about what kind of player you are?

Deb / sweetmisery:

I’m aggressive, never use to be but was told it was more fun and it is.
I don’t like ruining someones game by making them quit.
That bothers me.

Jen:

Why does that bother you?

Deb / sweetmisery:

Because of all the time and work that goes into an account.  I hate seeing it go barb.
And we make friends along the way.

Jen:

Everyone has a personal opinion on nobling barbs, what is yours?

Deb / sweetmisery:

I’d rather nuke and noble an active player but I’ve taken some anjoo barbs lately to pass the time its taking for my nukes to arrive somewhere but I did work for them and they did cost me.

Jen:

Who do you admire most in world 50?

Deb / sweetmisery:

The lakewind people matt and andy.

Jen:

Why?

Deb / sweetmisery:

I was told many times never to trust anyone in this game, had many disappointments but I trust them.
I think they have the game played out already to the end and I am glad to be with them.

Jen:

How do you see the world ending?

Deb / sweetmisery:

I see ODA and 1984 in the end. they will either merge and end the world or have one hell of a fight for the fun of it
But thats a long way off
Ive always been surprised how that map can change so fast.
Look at all the top tribes who have gone before us.

Jen:

Many
You were pretty new to school when they collapsed were you expecting the collapse?

Deb / sweetmisery:

I saw the dead wood that they were hanging onto but no I did not expect them to collapse.

Jen:

Earlier you said your aggressive player, how do you manage defending with an offensive account?

Deb / sweetmisery:

Been lucky to kill them before they can get to me, lol. I do no where I’m going and what needs to be stacked. I’ve also had great friends near me to cover if needed.

Jen:

Do you remember what tribe you first started this world with?

Deb / sweetmisery:

No, but you came along and saved me but I don’t remember what tribe that was either. been in a few

Jen:

Lol, I cant remember the tribe you use to be in either, I remember you being mad they changed the name to MILF.

Deb / sweetmisery:

I was a refugee :D
Yes that was tacky.

Jen:

Lol yeah my first refugee I helped of many, at least you were worth it.

Deb / sweetmisery:

Ty bet you didn’t think that when you were on the truegrave acct, (chuckle).
Yeah and that bothered me attacking that account.

Jen:

Well I was mad at you I think then but I haven’t regretted anything I’ve done, just tried to learn along the way.
I was such a n00b I’ve come along way, lol.
When you start a world what is your start up plan?

Deb / sweetmisery:

Yes you have come a long way.

Jen:

Thanks deb.

Deb / sweetmisery:

My plan is to make friends not enemies so I survive.

Jen:

In your eyes what makes a talented player?

Deb / sweetmisery:

One who can use diplomacy as well as their nukes. It’s not always about fighting even though it is a war game. There are other ways to win wars.

Jen:

As a woman how does being in the top 40 players list make you feel?

Deb / sweetmisery:

W50 has been a tough world for me but I had lots of support along the way but  I am surprised that I have done so well. I think a lot has to do with making some good choices and I can be diplomatic and talk my way out of things, lol.

Jen:

Does being a woman give you any advantages or disadvantages on the battle field?

Deb / sweetmisery:

It did help me in w25 lol but here I haven’t noticed. I do hate women attacking me because I know how ruthless we are.

Jen:

As a woman warrior do you ever feel you are treated differently than the men?

Deb / sweetmisery:

No

Jen:

Do you think at the end of the day there are any real differences in good female warriors and male warriors?

Deb / sweetmisery:

I sense the women seem more dedicated in what they are doing. The men go to bed with incoming and don’t worry about the game. They can shut it off.
Maybe because when a women does something even a game they give it their all
Don’t want to disappoint or let anyone down.
Like real life.

Jen:

Yep thats very true, our heart and soul goes into this game whether it should or shouldn’t.
What is your funniest tw moment?

Deb / sweetmisery:

Prolly don pako’s rants in game and on the externals.
(Rofl)
He was so funny when his blood boiled.

Jen:

Do you have a funniest/worst pick up line from a guy in tribal wars?

Deb / sweetmisery:

No had a few but don’t remember them.

Jen:

Do you find them annoying or cute?

Deb / sweetmisery:

Found them dumb. I’m playing a war game not the dating game. think theres other sites to go to for that.

Jen:

Yep
Ok you read my blog and all my random facts, what is a random fact about you that your willing to share with the world?

Deb / sweetmisery:

I’m not the good player everyone gives me credit for. Just been lucky to have had great people in this game pulling up my socks.

Wickedsweetone

Jen:

How long have you played tribal wars?

Wickedsweetone:

Hmm since December 20th 2008? world 30…

Jen:

Did you start at the beginning of world 50?

Wickedsweetone:

No… I don’t actually know when world 50 started… I started umm sept 2010?

Jen:

Did you start on the wickedsweetone account?

Wickedsweetone:

Yes

Jen:

How did you pick that name?

Wickedsweetone:

Lol… it’s kinda stupid really… I am a little nice or sweet… and a lil not so nice… wicked streak… and I am me.. or 1….

Jen:

What tribe did you start in?

Wickedsweetone:

Lol, on w50? hmmm good question.. =ttd=? I believe were the group that I started in…

Jen:

Who do you admire on world 50?

Wickedsweetone:

There are a few..the players from accts of demonika, reoan, pooping taco hitsugayathegreat… smexy hippo…and lakewind…. would be the ones I admire the most… but? I think I have not really gotten to observe many of the skilled players out there…

Jen:

Why do you admire the ones you listed?

Wickedsweetone:

Because they are not just great players… they are true/real great people.. not fake… they have strong convictions and show it in how they play, and I like their sense of humors.. lol

Jen:

Good that actually pretty much answers my next question, which was gonna be what do you think makes a talented player?
So you can add to that or not your choice

Wickedsweetone:

It is different for each person I think… i think it would have to include somewhere a good sense of humor…lol, possibly slightly twisted/sarcastic…. honor – I haven’t seen too many weak willed players around that make it past a few villas before they are swallowed whole :( so a strength…. and? they quite possibly have to be a tw addict… yeah.. lol maybe… ;)

Jen:

Now can you tell me about your style of playing?

Wickedsweetone:

Random? lol, I don’t know how I would describe my style to be honest? hmmm,

Jen:

Do you consider yourself aggressive?

Wickedsweetone:

Slow and steady – that is what I think of from start to finish…
No I do not consider myself really aggressive… unless provoked.. then yes.. lol I am… slightly more so than I would say normal.

Jen:

From your stats your ODD says you haven’t been attacked often or a lot are you a good defender? do you worry about mass defending on your account?

Wickedsweetone:

I am not attacked as often as other players have been in the same span of time… lol, I think I am a fair defender…. I worry about everything at any given time… I do not worry any more than the average player out there though…
But… that is why the troops are always training and running around, lol, isnt it… ;)

Jen:

Why did you join ODA when School collapsed and then switch to 1984?

Wickedsweetone:

I joined oda because I know the players…. and respect them.. Matt as lead is a natural…. at the time however their location, the recent upheaval of school… I felt out of place a little… honestly…like I couldn’t offer much to the tribe… I thought it a great opportunity to learn from some very talented players…. and so I talked to Matt and the leaders of 1984… also I would have to say logging in daily to more notes from reoan telling me to join her…lol, that had something to do with it. (chuckle)

Jen:

What do you think of your tribe having the reputation of being bullies?

Wickedsweetone:

Lol, I think it’s funny… the players aren’t… but to see that in forums…lol… it makes me laugh every time… because it is so far from the truth it is just laughable…

Jen:

Do you think being a women gives you any advantages or disadvantages on the battle field?

Wickedsweetone:

You know…..? I want to say female warriors have an advantage – lol, we are better… but? it isn’t completely true… it just annoys the guys a lot… ;) really it boils down to individuals… half the time other players don’t even know which are male/female… especially on w50 where accounts start with one player and move to other’s often…. I do believe women on average have a better balance of logic, creativity and passion to put into play than guys do (sorry guys?)

Jen:

Lol,  great answer.

Wickedsweetone:

Lol…. just the truth as I see it? ;)

Jen:

Thats the best way to be.
As a woman on Tribalwars do you ever feel your treated differently than the males?

Wickedsweetone:

Ehh.. I would be lying if I said no…I am sure you have run into a few yourself. |-( only run into that issue a few times… where I knew without a doubt another player was treating me ‘differently’ sadly..a few have treated me as though I am not intelligent enough or were inferior….lol those minds just have to be hmmm changed ;) but yes.. I removed at one point my gender because it was making it difficult to enjoy the game…

Jen:

Do you think there are any real differences between being a male warrior and a female warrior?

Wickedsweetone:

Well yes actually… men and women are very different to begin with so there would have to be here as well… not that either is better than one another… we just each have different strengths… that goes for people in general and for men and women overall though.. least in my opinion…

Jen:

What has been your funniest tw moment?

Wickedsweetone:

I think that would be when i was first starting out like most and didn’t know a thing about the game… not even how to noble and thought sending 4 nobles at once was faster and better than one at a time (chuckle) really probably a lot of noob/nub/blonde type things like that lol…

Jen:

Lol, I remember those days too, when I thought I knew so much.

Wickedsweetone:

Lol… yeah… they are the funnier days though… I know nothing… I admit to that… and have so much to learn always, lol… but the first few months I ever played w30 was easy going compared to well most other worlds… and I wasn’t in a tribe and thought it much ‘nicer’ and better to noble barbs and that is what player were supposed to do… build up as many as available and then attack each other… ha… and yes I did try nobling with four nobles at once… (facepalm) sadly all four died.. cause it had been a player that left the game and I didn’t know that… and had never bothered to scout or nuke it first…lol

Jen:

What is the worst/funniest pick up line that a guy on tribal wars has tried on you?

Wickedsweetone:

I don’t think any have used ‘pick up lines’ lol they have hit on me… oh… I guess cause of my profile pic the one I have heard the most is ‘nice ass’ and ‘wow is that really your ass’ :D but for the most part I get some creative ones… guys have told me – mind you, lol, told me they are taking my villas and locking me in the towers of theirs… one added as it should be… ha… he didn’t live long after that poor guy :( lol, but no real pick up lines…lol, I guess there is still a lot I don’t know about tw….

Jen:

Ok you read my first blog and you saw all my odd facts about myself, what is an odd fact about yourself that the world doesn’t know about?

Wickedsweetone:

Good question… hmmm
I love sci-fi thriller shows/movies… and I use the emoticons a lot more than I probably should… if I could go back in time? it would be to a time far in the past… one that closer resembled tribal wars…
- is that good for odd facts of wicked1? lol

Reoan

Jen:

How long have you played TribalWars?

Patti:

Oh my, too long. My first world was twelve.

Jen:

Do you remember if you started at the opening of world 50?

Patti:

I started playing in 2008.
I did not start at the opening. I am not a fan of start ups.

Jen:

Did you start on Reoan account?

Patti:

My husband did, he is the original owner of Reoan.
I believe I started coplaying with him when he had less than 20 villas.
It was well past start up but still early in the game.

Jen:

Why the name Reoan?

Patti:

It was the name of his druid when he played EverQuest. It is a name he commonly uses when playing any type of game.

Jen:

Can you tell me about your particular style of playing?

Patti:

Slacker. I do the bare minimum to get the job done at a somewhat acceptable level. I am a busy girl. :)

Jen:

Everyone seems to have their own personal opinion of barb nobling what is yours?

Patti:

It does seem to be the hot topic on this world.
Hmmmm, how to put this…..
I think that taking too many barbs is completely contrary to the point of Tribal Wars.
I also think that barbs can be used as a very effective tool in certain situations.
Example, you are getting roughed up and are dealing with general bs of such…mass incoming that is still growing, losing villas left and right, etc.
Between sniping and trying to gain some handle on the situation, there isn’t time to recap and such.
Barbs can build you back up quickly. For an experienced player, this is a wise move.
Barbs can also be used to relocate near the enemy and if you take the right barbs they can really start to un-nerve and hurt your enemy.
Wake up to ten red dots in the middle of your cluster and it is truly a pain.

Jen:

Hermit has been known to use barbs are you described above, your tribe 1984 and ODA are at war with them, can I have your thoughts and opinions on the war?

Patti:

Lol not sure where to start
I think the ultimate outcome of the war will be solely based on 1984 and ODA being able to stay in game.
It is going to be hell to deal with Hermit’s gameplay.
I also think it will require 1984/ODA to take barbs. :)

Jen:

Interesting

Patti:

That is the only way to keep the barbs out of Hermit’s hands. It would be the fastest ways to win the war.
Attack hard, don’t let up and start eating the barbs
But I am sure there would be many that would disagree with that

Jen:

Who do you admire most in world 50?

Patti:

I admire those that can take an ass whooping and keep on going.
That is the hardest part imo.
It is the dividing line to me.

Jen:

Do you remember your first tribe on world 50?

Patti:

I tend to block out traumatic events.
In all honesty, the only good tribe I have ever been in on W50 was 1984.
Don’t get me wrong, I have been in tribes with great people.
Even a few with potential
But 1984 is the only tribe I have been in that I feel has merit.
No disrespect intended to anyone else.

Jen:

Why did you end up picking 1984 when School collapsed?

Patti:

Because they always had my respect
And I would have never moved over to ODA.
I have said it before and I will say it again, if 1984 didn’t take a chance on me, I would have deleted out.
I know I am biased but they are a great bunch of people.

Jen:

Can you tell me what makes a talented player in your eyes?

Patti:

Talent comes in many forms but I think the number one quality a person has to have to be successful in TW is to be a team player.
The tribe is everything.

Jen:

As a woman how do you feel about being a top player in a top tribe?

Patti:

I am not sure I view my gameplay in that context. While I realize there are by far more men that play this game than women, I don’t think it puts me in a special place or anything.

Jen:

Do you think being a woman warrior has any advantages or disadvantages on the battle field?

Patti:

Since most of my opponents are male, I think I am harder for them to figure out. I think some men hesitate to attack me and I think some men are often distracted by their opponent being a female.
So yes, I guess I think I have advantages! lol

Jen:

So then you do think women are sometimes treated differently than they would another male?

Patti:

Hell yes.
No doubt.
I have had conversations that change dramatically when it is discovered/figured out I am not a guy.
Of course this would not apply to all but there is a percentage out there that it absolutely applies to.

Jen:

At the end of the day, end of the battle do you think there are any true differences between a male warrior and a female warrior?

Patti:

No, the game functions the same regardless of what gender you are.

Jen:

What has been your funniest TribalWars moment?

Patti:

One doesn’t stand out but the other half of Reoan, my dear Jack, gets involved in mails that often bring me to tears.
And Jen, if you could throw this in my interview please….
GO LIVERPOOL!

Jen:

I know you haven’t had time to read my intro blog but basically I give some random weird facts about myself, like I never use smilies and I refuse to eat blue dyed foods, Is there a random weird fact that the world could know about you?

Patti:

I cannot stand my food touching on my plate.
Cafeteria trays were made with me in mind.

Jen:

Perfect
Is there a funniest/worst pick up line that has been used on you in TribalWars?

Patti:

At times I have put up CoAs that are edgy or down right inappropriate and I have had several mails trying to confirm they are me. I recall arguing with some guy that I was not a warrior princess in real life (it was some pic of a woman holding a sword).

Jen:

Lol yep they do do that.

Patti:

Who really wears a metal thong? lol

Jen:

Lol, I don’t know only in a man’s mind.

Patti:

Lol so true!

Jen:

Lol yes of course, is there anything else you would like to add?

Patti:

I hope that everyone enjoys playing Tribal Wars as much as I do. I would also like to remind everyone it is really just a game (I swear, it really is just a game) and if you aren’t having fun, you aren’t playing it right.

Next week’s issue….we will get to the facts of what is going on and yes I mean facts, stats and maps galore, for those that like that kind of thing, I had planned to add them to this but two things stopped me one is obvious which is the length and two I think the interviews stand on their own. Please keep all your feedback coming, I have really appreciated all the comments here and in forum, also the mails, feel free to contact me on forum or in game.
