A World On Fire

June 28, 2011 in World 048 News, World News, Worlds 41-50 News

What kind of a world do we live in? Where flaming another is a common pastime, where making enemies is a day to day practice? Where wars are not fought on common ground, but on those only the ruthless will tread. We are not a world of friendship and prosperity, but a world ruled by grievances and past hurts. We are powerful, we are weak, we are many, and we are few, we are prideful, and we are humble. We are World 48.

Welcome to issue two of my world 48 Blog!!! I have been busy for many an hour attempting to adhere to most requests. Forgive me if I have overlooked anything, and as always, I ask that you give comments either through private mail, or in my blog thread.

Anyway, lets see what is in this issue. I have had the opportunity to interview ronin888 of ASCN, on a couple of issues. I will leave his views for you yourself, to discern. I will be including all the wars of world 48, that were requested. These include the PIRANA and ASCN conflict, as well as the now heated CRASH/PIRANA v Womble war. These other major conflicts will be included as well: The -XIII- and PIRANA war and last but not least, PIRANA versus A|V. I will only be including major wars, unless specifically asked.

Alright, shall we start with the interview?

Extra: Interview SelectShow

I would like to thank Ronin888 for this interview, it is always an honour to have someone that is willing to be interviewed.

Alright then, Lets take a look at our current wars of World 48, starting with the -XIII-/PIRANA war. Firstly, I would like to ask all of you, if you have any grievances about stats, please tell me, and I will be sure to include them next time. There is always something, I do not know.

PIRANA v -XIII-

Side 1:
Tribes: -XIII-
Side 2:
Tribes: PIRANA, -DIE-

Timeframe: Forever

Total conquers against opposite side:

Side 1: 258
Side 2: 196
Difference: 62

Stats

Points value of total conquers against opposite side:

Side 1: 2,416,850
Side 2: 1,944,972
Difference: 471,878

And here we are, PIRANA is losing, and -XIII- is winning. Pretty simple yes? Lets have a look at the conquer map, and then pull it apart a bit more.

To me, this is actually surprising. The Teal coloured counquers are villages that were taken from -XIII- whilst the pink conquers are villages taken from the PIRANA family.

A rough estimate tells me that 90% or so of PIRANA’s conquers are in continent 21. Though they are still losing the war, they seem to making steady headway through the continent. Securing complete control of this continent will see PIRANA with the ability to launch nobles at close to 80% of villages under -XIII- control.

Though flanking has very little impact on this game, it is somewhat clear that -XIII- are attempting to outflank PIRANA’s push through continent 21. Intentional or not, if this movement succeeds, it will be PIRANA who lose control of continent 21. After all, -XIII- will then be able to hit the continent from three sides. A victory from either side here will cause significant damage to the morale of local players. I seriously doubt that a loss on PIRANA’s side will be noted by the entire tribe.

PIRANA v ASCN as of 07.04. at 07:51:53

Some Stats:

Side 1:
Tribes: ASCN
Side 2:
Tribes: PIRANA, -DIE-

Timeframe: 07/04/2011 07:51:53 to 27/06/2011 05:47:08

Total conquers against opposite side:

Side 1: 345
Side 2: 30
Difference: 315

Points value of total conquers against opposite side:

Side 1: 3,044,598
Side 2: 276,738
Difference: 2,767,860

Well, this is very very one sided. That being said, ASCN is attacking PIRANA territories that are far from the main body of the tribe. No doubt, they are also very difficult to support. Seeing as this is also an update, I will include stats from the last week, and also a conquer map of the last week.

Last weeks stats:

Side 1: 52
Side 2: 2
Difference: 50

Well, ASCN are ahead by 50 conquers for the last week. Here is the conquer Map.

Do I really need to explain what is going no here? It is simply a mopping up campaign. The real question is, where will ASCN go after the have finally cleared their continents of the fishies? Will they pursue PIRANA and jump over allied territories? Will they go north towards the rim? Will they merge? Will they turn on their allies? Or will they do something completely unexpected? Personally, I hope to find out, it will be very interesting. Don’t you agree?

PIRANA v Womble as of Last week.

Many will disagree with my separating PIRANA and CRASH from a join venture against Womble. I was under the impression that PIRANA and CRASH had participated in a joint operation against Womble. This is now clear to me, that this is not the case. Saying that, my decision is not set in stone, and should contsructive criticism prove that CRASH and PIRANA are, in fact, undergoing joint operations against Womble, I will gladly change the stats in issue 3. For now though, here are the PIRANA and Womble stats, as well as a conquer map. All taken from the last week.

Stats:

Side 1:
Tribes: Womble
Side 2:
Tribes: -DIE-, PIRANA

Timeframe: Last week

Total conquers against opposite side:

Side 1: 20
Side 2: 1
Difference: 19

Well, these stats are certainly not what one could call impressive. That being said, close to 50% of the front, belongs to RobinGoodFellow. I am surprised that the fishies have not even tried attacking Womble yet. Well, according to the stats. Shall we take a look at last weeks conquer map?

This past week of expansion seems almost casual. There does not seem to be any real reason behind it, apart from a Wombler saying: “Oh, Lookie here, its an empty fishies village”. Apart from that, in the grand scheme of things, there is no real gains at all. The Fishies are losing all their wars so far. And badly, at that.

Womble v CRASH as of 1/04/2011.

I am only including past week stats, and will endeavour to add all dismissed players. Before I proceed though, I will say this, there is no option to add individual players to the conquer map. Many players have been deleted, and will not be included, as they were deleted more than a week ago. Some stats:

Side 1:
Tribes: Womble
Players: Wachen, luigimitch
Side 2:
Tribes: CRASH
Players: Dadadadom, Toadstomper, Ivakru, joseph00023, Filipok Ok Pok

Timeframe: Last week

Total conquers against opposite side:

Side 1: 9
Side 2: 93
Difference: 84

It has been a very successful week for CRASH. Outdoing conquers by 10 to 1. Unfortunately, many in the world attribute this to cheating. No matter what I say now, It will be called biased, rather than speculation, but I will say it nonetheless. I believe that the weeks conquers are thanks to good planning, good co-ordination, and good organisation. I would not be wrong in saying that, this is one of the first successful operations made in this war. Time to see where the conquers were made.

From looking at this map, it is easy to say that Womble have had a confusing week, and have not been as active as they could have. This is due to recent ‘incidents’ involving the two tribes. Nonetheless, I believe, that Womble could still have remained active in the war, this past week. Though, one could also say, that perhaps they are gearing up for a counter offensive? The war seems to be heating up, especially in our external forums.

Last but not least:

PIRANA v A|V as of forever

Side 1:
Tribes: PIRANA, -DIE-
Side 2:
Tribes: A|V

Timeframe: Forever

Total conquers against opposite side:

Side 1: 45
Side 2: 126
Difference: 81

Points value of total conquers against opposite side:

Side 1: 405,214
Side 2: 1,155,129
Difference: 749,915

Look at that… PIRANA are losing another war. Just how bad can they be? Lets take a looksie at the conquer maps.

Question for you. Do you think PIRANA is even capable of fighting a war? They are losing on every major front. And more often than not, against tribes that are much much smaller.

A|V seem to be playing a very straight forward war, they see a red dot, they attack a red dot. There doesn’t seem to be much need for an organised offensive, not when few of the fishies are capable of fighting back.

Here is a question for each of you: What tribe do you believe is the most powerful today? When I say powerful, I do not mean only visible strength. Let me know what you think, through private mail, as I will include the five most UNBIASED views in my next blog.

With that, I will finish issue two. As before, leave comments in the appropriate forum thread/s and/or message me in either -ATA- in game, or across the forum mails.
