Hello! I thought I had better introduce myself for those who don’t already know me, feel free to call me Mark or whatever weird and wonderful names you can think up. I’m happy to say that I’ve been chosen to Blog for World 40 in an attempt to spark some sort of debate in our rather un-eventful forums. If you feel like a chat or have any concerns or questions about the blog feel free to add me on Skype for a chat: i_use_troops. Or drop me a Message in game via “Renshi p”. But I hope I can fulfill the job entrusted to me and I look forward to bringing you your weekly dose of news coverage from around World 40. I’d like to briefly apologize for the lateness of the Blog, i was held up by the interviews much like Destruction was as the NMS council is in virtually the opposite timezone to myself.
Well the world has certainly progressed since the last blog; the world has seen what looks to be the final declaration made by Kata to NMS. The winner will control over 2/3 of the world after victory effectively securing world dominance. However a war of this proportion is likely to lead us well into 2012 partake any drastic changes in world 40s politics. The reason for the war declaration made by Phoenix2050 was simple; the time had come for the final war to take place. But there are other threads that would suggest that NMS and Kata went to war over the spoils left over from the UN war amongst other things; Kata stand accused of “hugging” or “merging” what was left of the Active UN members and encroaching into previously declared NMS territory around the K50 Area. Both of these issues however were addressed by Phoenix2050 in his post in the thread “The Epidemic” which provides some heated arguments between Kata and NMS on the topic. It is a good bit of background information for anyone looking to find the root causes of this final war. Additionally Destructions previous Blogs analyze these reasons so be sure to read them if you want to catch up.

There are a number of misrepresentations here. For one, I & my co-dukes have been talking with KoT about the issues on the west side including K50 for several months, & it was I that informed him of RPX’s sudden expansion of recruiting the remains of the RAGE family & other players/tribes. The decision to move into K50 was not made lightly or overnight & we kept KoT (& Trey was silently in the chat also) informed along the way. Indeed NMS & Kata have had good relations for the majority of the time since our skirmish finished in Feb/March (roughly) & have worked together to preserve the NAP across a lengthy border that has generally seen little trouble, which is quite an achievement with 2 tribes filled with such aggressive personalities. Recently things have changed somewhat. Obviously the sudden nobling by a NMS member into K90 was viewed with some alarm by us – K90 is not “just over the border” after all, but it seems to me that the biggest change has been in the NMS leadership itself. So I’d put forward you yourself Meerschweinchen as part of the changing face of NMS/Kata relations, together with Contessa “Fagin” Catherine, who seems determined to use young children to spy on us. The other thing that you have admitted was considered was a secret NAP with UN to close down the northern front while you ate each others inactives to maintain the facade of a continuing UN v NMS/CB war, while leaving Kata to continue fighting in the south. When this leaked, surely you cannot blame us for openly deciding to recruit the best of UN to counter your possible move. At least we have been open about what was going on. If we wanted to secretly manoeuvre against you we have had many opportunities to do so, whether it being when -WM- & Rum have approached us, or even when CB realised that they could no longer stand alone & were also looking for some leads from Kata as to whether a full-blown NMS gang-bang was on offer. All through that time I held true to the spirit of the NAP (ie to not take actions that are aggressive against one another) & I believe that in general KoT did also. Now it appears that others who have been far from our discussions & actions together have hijacked the agenda through amateurish attempts at manipulation.

A look to the past!

I thought I would dig out an old map from the good ol’ days when the world had some real life left in it. As you can see a lot has changed, tribes have grown and many have gone completely fading away into Tribal wars history. From the above map I wonder how many of you could have predicted how the map would have shaped up to what it looks like at present?
Currently NMS own 33 out of the possible 100 continents compared to Kata who own 45 continents. Additionally however NMS are around 10% shy of owning another 2 continents namely K63 and K64 one of the main frontiers in the Kata/NMS war so are in a crucial position for either tribe. Kata are just edging behind the RPX family in K60 trailing by around 13% which would take their dominance to 46 continents controlled out of the possible 100. Again? following their recent merge with RUM! have gained some ground further south creating a larger front with NMS and the RPX Family.
Onto the war!

Well, what is there to be said about the war so far…? This war is in its infancy, there should be no real visible change until around Easter time when we should be able to see some gains and losses of ground in various areas. Personally I see Kata in a more advantageous location that NMS, this is not motivated by bias in the least; merely observational comments and geography. The reasons for my arrival at that conclusion was because Kata has a solid and defined back line right along the K90’s from which to draw permanent long term defensive support for the extremely long war front with NMS. However NMS almost has an advantage in not having a broadly defined back line, no player can get away with a ‘free ride on the back lines and as such activity in NMS should peak higher than Kata’s.
NMS would have been perhaps better geared up for this war then they are at current if they didn’t have the ever present War Mongers hurling axes into their backs where they could have drawn support from. Instead NMS now faces attacks along almost the entirety of its massive 19 continent long front line and the strain has clearly shown in the stats for the Kata/NMS war with NMS unable to find the Long term support needed for such a large front. But it has been shown that Traditionally NMS are late starters in wars so these stats may well change in the coming weeks. Being placed in Kata myself I do get to hear about Operations from both Tribes, ones that Kata are defending against and those that are launched on NMS. On the Operations watch for the last few weeks I can report that both sides have indulged in some sort of large scale Operation. Beachyme, Ranked number 1 in World 40 and in Kata was on the receiving end of an impressive NMS operation which peaked at around 6.5k Incomings. NMS were hard pushed during the opening waves from Kata landing on Kingkev, caled, fallout and Contessa right along the southern most NMS/Kata borders.
Stats since December the 7th when war was officially declared are as follows:

NMS appears to have made looses in a few key locations, primarily the heavily disputed K63 and K64 but also K56. Kata’s looses appear to be spread right along the border showing a good stream of co-ordination from NMS allowing them to jump on these exposed villages; however a large chunk of NMS’s growth has been in the North with =CB= around the K20 line. But despite this NMS has held reasonably steady in K63 and K64 not losing too much ground and retaking/ capturing new villages daily making it a slow game of attrition for both sides.
INTERVIEW TIME!
NMS was kind enough to give me Interviews with: TreyInGa. However i was also fortunate enough to get an Interview with A perfect Circle or APC for short. Him having since left NMS i am unable to vouch for the accuracy or Bias shown by his Interview.

A Perfect Circle
Myself
Hey, thanks for agreeing to an interview. Can you describe what role you played in the NMS family?
In NMS I started as a soldier, although my role switched a few times. After they decided to merge in CB (What a mistake that was!!) I was nominated the CB liason, although that ended quickly. For the most part I ran a squad in K18.
Ahh the days when we were young everything was so much simpler.. You say that NMS merging into CB was a mistake, can you elaborate on that for me?
well I joined NMS trying to desperatly get away from CB. I had joined UN for about 10 minutes when KoT mailed me ingame. He said they had wanted me to join them so I asked to get a friend (Mongrol, now deleted) to join as well.CB has alot of noobs, and when I say that I mean players that have never played before. Their council was severly lacking and the few players with talent have a serious holier then thou attitude. In all of CB I can say I respect about 4 players and called maybe 2 a friend. After I joined I was asked by Hourly watchmen to make a list of CB players I thought worthwhile I had thought they meant to invite them, I had no idea they would bring the whole family in.
Sounds like theres some issues that NMS need to address quickly then… There have been claims that NMS has hit some inactive patches recently and TwMaps paint roughly the same picture. To what extent would you agree or disagree with this?
For the NMS side there have been some issues forsure, the almighty tyrant KoT is not comming back (whoops I think that isnt out yet)Caled was in a serious car accident and is unsure if he/she can continue. Mongrol had a hard time with a certian CB duke named Ladac****y (the internal queen) He got so upset by the way she led him on he left CB and took Shimmi’s account with him (shimmi had been sat on and off for about a year)He was reported for shared IP and both accounts got banned. Oh and I almost forgot myself, I too had a major problem with ladac****y, she enjoys making fun of players on the forum then locking the threads. If any player were to speak out the post or thread would be deleted.I had enough of this and said something back, for that my account and my wifes account got locked out of the forum and we both got removed from the NMS skype room. This is the normal way things are handeled in NMS. If you have something to say and the council doesnt like it, you are shunned, made fun of and locked out.
Ouch, my condolences for Caled hope he/she is alright and on the way to a full recovery. It seems that NMS has some problems the council needs to address if they are to get into gear for this final war. As a Family Tribe communication is usually the killer this late into the world, how well do you think NMS and CB communicate and how well is this co-ordinated into what happens on the ground so to speak?
Well, they have people that have never taken a KATA village telling others what to do. If a council member comes under attack, support is demanded and sucked right up, to the point that theres nothing left for anyone else, in the end, NMS is going to have an extreemly hard time fighting off KATA. Take Kalari for instance right before the attack break he got sooo much support that KingKev got nailed, there was nothing left for him, likewise Jza was left in the cold, and I think Contessa Catherine might have got a bit more had Kalari not demanded so much. He pretty much had 150 villages stacked with 10 D villages each. mind you he did kill a lot of KATA nukes, theres one player KATA will have a hard time taking down
Sounds awkward. Kata is undoubtedly a strong tribe, at present do you think NMS has what is needed to win?
NMS does have some real good players, Kalari, Adventurer, Houlry, Mattius Killick, and Blue Rebel but in the end I dont think that they have enough. Their activity on weekeds drops to nill (aside from ladacrappy) and they have too many horrible players with them.I mean look at hogshead Standalone, or Davo on the PnP forums, he nobles 800 point villages! What the heck is that?!
Yikes, ahh well at least the NMS guys/gals know how to party over the weekend. NMS has taken quite a brusing in the south but in the North west they have made some ground on Again? and the war seems to be holding steady up there. Would you say that NMS class Again? as a true threat or just a side snack?
Im 100% Again? will fall to NMS, most of NMS’ better players are on that side. However, one needs to consider KoT is not returning.
Sounds like the North west will put up a good struggle if/when Kata reach them. What would you consider to be NMS’s biggest faults?
Im glad you asked! CB leadership! You have ladac****y, a so called duke who got her position by flirting with 16 year old players, who never takes KATA villages and pretty much hands out internals as a job. then you have Idesir….what a bigot! he wont let anyone do or say anything against ladac****y and her gang. And only leads when it comes time to dish out punishment. You know, I started playing this game on world 3, back then there wasnt many fancy add ons that the game has now. Although I do like the fact that I dont need to know all my BB codes anymore it kinda made the game idiot proof. Now you can have tribes like CB that sat in the back for a year eating internals (people leaving from bordom) who think they are the absulte best there was. How many times I mentioned a various tactics only to find a council member claiming it to be their own the next day! In the end, World 40 will either be ruled by KATA after a bloody war or by CB/NMS boring their own players into quitting thus leaving KATA to clean up the straglers. NMS also needs to treat their own members better, because right now its a dictatorship, and we all know what happens to those!
I know many people are interested to know how NMS feels the war is going, loosing in the stats is never a moral booster. However NMS are traditionally late starters in wars so how do you think NMS is shaping up to this latest war?
Well the retake in K27 was amazing. It was good co-ordination and I know Moulson was left beaten and battered from it. However he was isolated out there. I think that if KATA fakes the right areas and pushes the north they can quickly overtake NMS and cut them from their own north. If you look on the map, a few core NMS players have already started moving out to the North East, but KATA has also sent a few of its ringers there as well. oh back at you communication issue I forgot to mention there is a power struggle going on between NMS and CB, there is loads of internal bickering right now.
How well do you feel that the NMS/CB councils communicate their issues and who has the final say as this can usually be the root of most internal Problems?
With KoT leaving, CB with Hogshead Standalone are trying to take over NMS. Treyinga and Adventurer are trying to keep control but feel that if they lose CB they will be surrounded by enemys. Leaving them in the sorry position of giving into the whims of ladadoodee (ladac***y) the internal queen and her army of 16 year olds.
Alright, cheers for that interview i have just one final question; having now left W40 what was your most memorable moment?
The good ol days of running Zero with my wife, Bolrog, mateus killick and stendel.
Thanks for your Time APC and good luck on your future worlds or Real life.

Myself
Can you briefly explain who you are and what role you play in the NMS Family?NMS/=CB= family
I know many people are interested to know how NMS feels the war is going.
Traditionally NMS have been late starters in wars, so how do you feel you are shaping up to the challenge in this current conflict?
Side 1:
Tribes: NMS, =CB=
Side 2:
Tribes: KataX, Kata
Timeframe: Last week
Total conquers against opposite side:
Side 1: 130
Side 2: 90
Difference: 40It is true that NMS has traditionally been a very slow starter in past wars. Part of that is due to tribes attacking us while we were embroiled in wars already. Our enemies have often tried to capitalize upon the fact that our defenses have been spread out across our borders. That was the case when the Kata family declared upon us. We were already involved in ongoing wars against RUM, UNW40 and WM. These two tribes have fought well against us at points and have kept the attention of some of our very skilled members. Kata was able to attack another border while we were heavily involved in these wars.
Consequently, the battle took a slant toward Kata’s direction in the stats. However, NMS/=CB= family have continued to finish off the wars that have been ongoing. RUM and WM have merged and formed a tribe called Again? and have attempted to work in concert with Kata family to keep our attention split. Now however, the efforts in the north and west have begun to pay off as our last two operations have proven highly successful. Also, the above given stats over the last week show that NMS has begun to turn its attention towards Kata and its family and the results are beginning to reveal that NMS is committed to winning this war against these highly skilled tribes.
There have been claims that NMS has hit some Inactive patches recently, and TW maps/stats paint roughly the same picture. To what extent would you agree with those claims? In any world that I have played, inactivity becomes a problem at some point. Although the majority of NMS/=CB= is very good, we would not argue that we have had some inactivity problems just like any tribe on every world. However, to assert or say that the inactivity that our tribal family has had is a problem would certainly not be correct. We are dealing with the few inactive accounts that we have and our opponents have done a very good job of exploiting those inactive accounts. However, now as we speak, the inactive accounts have largely been dealt with and we are moving forward quit nicely.
As a Family tribe how do you think the communication between your 2 tribes is as communication is usually the killer of Family Tribes.
Our family is highly committed to winning this world. Communication between our members is fantastic and we are united in all of our goals. Our combined council works hard ,hourly and daily ,to ensure that at the end of this world, NMS/=CB= are the members who can stand and declare together that we have finished what we have started. It would be far more proper based upon the closeness and communication of our tribe to simply state that we are one!
In your opinion why isn’t the war going in NMS’s favor at present?I would not agree that the war is not going in NMS’s way. Certainly stats from the beginning show that NMS is trailing as Kata has worked very hard and appear to be committed to this long and drawn out war. However, as stats show from over this last week, we have began to move forward on Kata and will continue to move the lines in our favor for the foreseeable future.
Total conquers against opposite side:Side 1:
Tribes: NMS, =CB=
Side 2:
Tribes: KataX, Kata
Timeframe: 3 Months
Side 1: 259
Side 2: 475
Difference: 216These stats of the war over a three month window can give a view of what has occurred to date. The stats in question #2 of course are just the last week and most current stat line to highlight NMS/=CB=’s increased efforts on the Kata warfront. If you want to look at it from a different angle then:
Side 1:
Tribes: =CB=, NMS, ~CB~
Side 2:
Tribes: Kata, KataX, KlownZ, Again?, UN W40
Timeframe: Last month
Total conquers:
Side 1: 3,252
Side 2: 4,941
Difference: 1,689
Total conquers against opposite side:
Side 1: 626
Side 2: 342
Difference: 284
and I think that shows overall NMS is doing well in the war.NMS has been accused of hugging and merging, how would you answer those claims?
This question and accusation always perplexes me. Should Kata or any other tribe be accused of hugging because they see skill in certain recruits that fits the tribal standards or in the case of our recent recruits often exceeds those expectations? NMS/=CB= family will always be looking for a few talented and committed players to fill voids in its roster. Afterall, its a tribal war game. When the fit of recruiting benefits both the player and the tribe, an invite will be given. However, to assert that this tribe ‘hugs’ or ‘merges’ would not be appropriate in the least.
A Year from now where do you see NMS?
So many things occur in this game day to day that is asking the unanswerable question. However, as we sit here today, the future of NMS/=CB= is very bright and in a year we believe we can see ourselves on say world 60 at number one having fulfilled our requirements on this world.
What if anything would you change about NMS if you could? There are always things we would like to see happen differently or in a different timeline in our tribe. However, change would not be what we would desire. We are forever grateful for the skills and talents of our members. We are committed to our oneness. If we could change one thing I guess it would be those beloved members who have fallen to real life issues and have left the game; we would change by being able to bring them back to enjoy our eventual victory. That would be fantastic if we were able to see that happen, even if it was only in the Global forums. The one thing we in this tribe would change for sure would be that Ruthless Queen be with us still today. She will be forever missed here in world 40 and in life. RIP Ruthless Queen.
Whilest NMS has lost ground in the south against Kata it has made some good ground on Again? Would you consider them a main focus or just a snack?
The best part of this tribe is that we do not undervalue our opponents. We see them as skilled players who have earned honor for their accomplishments to date. Again? has some very skilled players and a committed leadership. The same can be said of the Kata family. We will continue to move our lines back or effort to in every part of our tribe to ensure we are continually offerning growth to our valued membership across both tribal tags.
That being said, Have you ask Kata members on our southern front if they have checked their incomings in the last 24 hours?10: NMS is loosing and gaining ground in the same areas, what steps are you taking to try and ‘plug the gaps’ so to speak?
Ask our oponents
Thanks Treyinga
Thank you for the Interview.

Well that about sums up this weeks Blog, with both interviews taken into account it should give all parties on World 40 a lot to think about over the coming week. Its been a pleasure to Blog for you and i hope that i can continue to blog for sometime, so until next week just keep on fighting.
Thanks for reading, Mark
“Why was APC interviewed ? Simply because he gave up secrets to KATA and it happens to be a KATA person that writes the Blog ?”
No, APC was interviewed because as well as the official council statement from NMS it is also good to read what other past/present everyday members think of their Tribe, and i did place in the disclaimer about the accuracy of the information provided by APC. I would challenge you to find any point in this Blog where i show Bias, the only concern that i have is that i did not give trey a chance to address the issues APC posed but they are mistakes that i can learn from.
Why was APC interviewed ? Simply because he gave up secrets to KATA and it happens to be a KATA person that writes the Blog ?
Lol
It’s not going to be NMS that drives people from the game. It’s people like APC who will harass them until they no longer want anything to do with it. Way to go APC. You are obviously too stupid to realize that no one cares that you left on bad terms… It happens all the time. Grow up.
APC what is wrong with 16 year olds. I am one myself and seriously if your that low to criticise us then I don’t know what wrong with you. We can still play..maybe some of us better than other players.
Sorry APC but you are WAY OFF with the stacking. I got around 170 defenses from the tribe which is nowhere near 150 X 10. So before you start spitting shit out of why dont you get your facts straight. Sorry that you are upset for getting booted out of NMS for being what everyone in this world calls a CHILD.
Nice piece of fiction and name calling there APC. Many of those facts are just a tad skewed, and the ops planned and implemented were not only military
WOW nice blog mark
also APC im 16 :s hope lada don’t try and recruit me
