Hello all, and once again welcome to the W34 Blog. This is  third edition of hopefully many more to come. This blog is made by and will continue to be made by Carlito50( Forums ) or Grindayzar ( In-game ). This blog will feature any updates from last week’s blog, which was made on 11/22/09. This edition will feature anything new from that date til 11/29/09. I hope you all have a good read, enjoy!

As always, I’ll start off with any updates( changes ) from the top 20 tribes and players.

Top 20 Players ( 11/29/09 )

Changes :

• Koss and NightWitch1 traded ranks. Koss was 5th last week and is now sixth. Nightwitch1 gained a total of 210k points.
• HansieSS went from rank 11 to rank 7. HansieSS gained a total of 150k points.
• Marvellous Death’s rank 7 spot was taken by HansieSS, although I believe they will be changing ranks for some time to come.
• Snooks786 went up from rank 12 to rank to rank 9. Snooks gained a total of 140k points.
• ngahnheg maintains it’s top 10 rank but, Smoke Brake dropped from rank 8 to rank 11.
• Mauser dropped from rank 9 to rank 12. Only gaining a total of 60k points.
• Smanes and fsoba traded ranks. Smanes went from rank 16 to rank 13 while fsoba dropped from 13 to 16.
• Johnboy15 maintains it’s top 14 spot but, gargoila loses it’s top 15 spot to Killerdan, a new top 20 player. Congrats to you, Killerdan.
• Evilex joins the top 20, at rank 18, stealing it from Keith414. Congrats, Evilex.
• Lesss goes from rank 20 to rank 19, gaining a total of 80k points.
• Yahooooooo7 drops from rank 17 to rank 20, Gaining a total of 2k points.

Congrats to all who moved up in ranks and congrats to those who just joined them. Happy hunting to all. <3

Now onto the top 20 tribes ( 11/29/09 )

Changes :

• Once again, as I expected, ORPHAN and WOOD trade ranks. ORPHAN now holds rank 2 and WOOD holds rank 3. Although WOOD is only 1mil away from them, we’ll see what happens next week. ORPHAN went up 3million points, also gaining a new member to the tribe. WOOD went up about 1.6million points.
• SEXY gained a new member and also went up 1.4million points.
• [P.R] went up from rank 14 to rank 13, gaining 1 member and a total of 1.5million points.
• TheLab went up as well, from rank 15 to rank 14. They gained a total of 2 members and a total of 1.3mil points.
• |Oo| went down from rank 13 to rank 15. They recently lost a total of 800k points.
• KoR and [P.R2] also traded ranks. [P.R2] lost it’s top 17 spot to KoR. KoR gained a total of 4 members and 1.5million points. [P.R2] gained 1 member but lost about 500k points.

PWO (the Peguins Warrior Organization) has decided to change their name to XX and adopt a family and make the academy XY. Just their choices of letters makes me think that PWO has made themselves all female and put the guys in the academy. Seriously though, what is the point of changing the call signs?

Anyway, they have also decided to go to war with MTS in the south-west (what was =EON=). Meanwhile, Sith are at war with MTS as well, but more-so in the south-east. So far, Drink! and KK seem to be sitting this one out and playing neutral, though we all know Drink! would gladly help in eliminating MTS so that they are the only true superpower in the world.

Why does everyone permit Drink! to live and thrive? If they have more than double the points of any other tribe, it will be nearly impossible to take them down, especially with their alliance with XX and Sith.
We will see how things turn out in this war as things go on, I will hopefully provide stats on it in my next post.

Size and Experience of RASP versus All Others

RASP are currently already owning 1/3rd of the points (516 mil versus 1.139 mil) and of the villages (50.909 versus 117.788) of the world. They will have a lot more opponents than tribe mates (142 versus 537), but this also means (with the knowledge of their amount of points) that their average player is a lot bigger… In the OD-rankings, the OD-history RASP really stands out! Especially in ODA: 781 mil verus 1139 mil. They have tons of experience to face the whole world. RASP is truly a well-oiled war machine. Will RASP manage it to win W11? Whatever happens, one thing is certain: RASP will not be soon forgotten in W11!

End of the World II

Last week we made an exponential extrapolation of the results of the Countdown topic to predict the End of the World. We came to the result that W11 will end in October 2011. This week we will investigated the technical possibility of the minimal time before we have the end of W11 with the hypothesis that the settings of this world don’t change.

We will assume that it requires to have maximum 50 players left in the world to get it closed. The fastest way to get the end of the world, is that the top 50-players eat the others. Currently the top 50-players of the world are owning 40.301 villages. In total there are 333.024 villages in W11. So the top 50-players should still noble 292.723 villages. Let’s also consider that a player uses all his resources to mint coins. Coins require most clay and you receive 57.600 clay per day. Assuming that players keep working with the same amount of spare nobles, this gives 57.600/30.000 = 1.92 additional nobles per player each day. So the top 50-players will receive together 96 extra nobles each day. Now the amount of villages to be nobled (292.723) divided by the amount of extra nobles each day (96) gives 3049; the theoretical minimal amount of days before W11 can end.

So unless the settings of W11 change, this game will technically go on untill minimum April 2018. So let’s all secretly hope we get half-priced nobles one day…

Today we’ll start off with the worlds top 20 players.

Changes:

As you can see, Marvellous Death climbed up the rankings. Just last week he was at rank 12 and is now at 7, gaining a total of 200,000 points.

Mauser has also taken fsoba’s top spot at rank 9, fsoba is now ranked 13.

Ngahngeh climbed up from rank 13 to rank 10, gaining a total of 200,000 points.

Snooks786 went down from rank 9 to rank 12. Gained  a total of 30,ooo points this week.

Smanes and keith414 traded spots. Smanes went up from rank 18 to 16 and keith went down from 16 to rank 18.

lesss joined the top 20 rankings and could slowly take rank 19.

Changes :

As you may have noticed, WOOD took the #2 spot from ORPHAN recently. Although they are only 200k points away from gaining rank #2 again, I believe both tribes will battle for this rank for some time to come.

Nona and SEXY! traded ranks aswell. Nona going down to rank 6 and SEXY! going up to rank 5. Just 500k points away although. I believe they lost their rank because of the heavy losses being done by ORPHAN.

RoW traded ranks with [P.R] stealing [P.R]’s top 12 rank and making them go down to rank 14.

End of the World

This week somebody wondered when a world ends. The only information about ended worlds are those of World 1 and World 2 of the german (and original) tribalwars game “Die Stamme”. Those worlds ended after 4 years and the tribe with most points won the world. In W1 there were 69 remaining players. In W2 57 players made it to the end.

I collected all the information of the Countdown w11-topic of this year (thanks to Aeneas Julius and MyPetWorm for those updates!) and put them in Excel. In mathematics, extrapolation is the process of constructing new data points outside a discrete set of known data points. It is similar to the process of interpolation, which constructs new points between known points, but the results of extrapolations are often less meaningful, and are subject to greater uncertainty. Still with a good trendline, I think extrapolation is a good method to find the end of W11.

So it was a matter of looking for a good trendline for the data. MyPetWorm stated that a linear extrapolation is good to predict the recent future. In our case the linear extrapolation gives R2=0,9478 (in statistics R2, the coefficient of determination, is used in the context of statistical models whose main purpose is the prediction of future outcomes on the basis of other related information. 0<R2<1. An R2 of 1.0 indicates that the regression line perfectly fits the data). But for a longer future, this linear extrapolation won’t be correct (otherwise the world would end in about 3 months). Also polynomial extrapolations give funny predictions (although R2=0,9975, you can instantly see that the amount of players can’t raise anymore). Finally I found a good trendline: exponential extrapolation. With that trendline

the world would only have 50 players left in October 2011, which would be: the End of the World!

It all started when THB players were recruited by Ocaryx and SEXY F decided to continue all attacks until Ocaryx took action. The war was officially declared on September the 13th, of 2009 by jax010. Greetings World 19 and welcome to the blog! =D

Since this is our first blog post and I’m still settling in, it’s going to be short and sweet. I am still putting together ideas for the blog (which will be updated on a weekly basis) in terms of what sorts of thing should be regular inclusions and what things will be done on a rotating/occasional basis.

I think everyone would like to see current war updates (I plan for this to come mostly in the form of stats and maps, there’s enough PnP on the forums :p) and general news for the world.

Everyone seems keen on doing some player interviews, so I will start to work on that. I will also keep a list of current wars on the forums too — if you do not see your war on the list, it’s up to the participants to tell me what’s going on! =D

Hello everyone! Here is Klouwe, the new W11 Blogger, with the Weekly W11 News – The World’s Only Reliable News. First of all I want to thank the previous W11 Blogger bl00dlust023 for the awesome blogs that he made. Cause his blogs were very good, I won’t change much about the lay-out in the beginning. So the blog will mainly contain bundled information of updates of last week. This summary should give players, ex-players, interested people a good idea of what is going on in our world. But I’m also aiming to provide some new information that you can not find in twstats or on the main forums. This week playerhater11234 (co-duke of {RASP}) found some time in his busy schedule to answer some questions.

Klouwe: jotad are doing recently pretty well versus {RASP} (last month: 315 vs 279). They are also very close to become #5-ranked tribe again. How long (do you think) will they be able to survive?

playerhater11234: I’m hesitant to put a timeline on their survival, as Toll has recieved some flak for his 5-month prediction, but I’d anticipate them being around for a fairly long time. Their core seem to be very good friends with each other, and more than just being skilled players, are extremely loyal to one another. That being the case, I think you’ll see Jotad put up a fight for quite a long time.

Klouwe: But considering the sizes of both tribes (RASP is 4-5 times as big as they are) and the fact that RASP doesn’t have other enemies; shouldn’t jotads downfall go faster?

playerhater11234: Not necessarily. I think their smaller size and their location might actually being working in their favor. As it is right now, I believe they only have about a 2-continent border with us, and it’s with our players in the northeast. Not to say that my guys up there aren’t warriors (they absolutely are), but until this war with Jotad, I don’t think most of them were quite at the same level experience-wise as the {RASP} members to the south that are veterans of the MCD war. Since Jotad is reasonably far away from the MCD war vets (anywhere from 150-250 hours by nuke), these {RASP} members can really only play a limited role in the Jotad war right now. So I guess you could say that part of Jotad’s survival comes down to the fact that their limited border with us, as well as their location, makes it very difficult for the majority of my members to be completely involved in the war. Really, its only about 10-15 players that have been doing most of the fighting for {RASP}’s side.

Klouwe: So other RASP-players are looking for other targets? There has (as example) been action from {RASP} on LoD in K24. LoD is now taking villages back from {RASP} in K54 and K99. Was the incident with LoD a mistake or is this maybe a new way to expand for {RASP}?

playerhater11234: I think this is mostly an isolated incident. LoD and {RASP} have never had any sort of formal diplomatic agreement until very recently, and CHIMERAA has a history with {RASP}, me in particular. I get the feeling that this is simply a territorial dispute…

Klouwe: Recently 2 ex-MCD players left ATTERO to join jotad (to fight {RASP}). Do you think that there are more ATTERO players willing to fight {RASP}? Or does the fact that “ATTERO let members go to jotad” proofs that {RASP} and ATTERO are still good allies who won’t fight each other?

playerhater11234: The two that left are ex-MCD, and I think that most people, especially in {RASP}, view them that way as well (as opposed to ATTERO members). One of the players in Jotad that we have been attacking for a while now is Kaitz, another ex-Macedon. In this instance, I think the players you’re referring to, Rale011 and Ghanghis, are more loyal to their old tribemate than they are to ATTERO. That being the case and the fact that ATTERO leadership has told them they can’t be involved in the {RASP}/Jotad war, I think they decided they would leave ATTERO and join Jotad so that they can try and protect their friend. As far as what it says about ATTERO and {RASP} relations, I think these two’s departure from ATTERO implies that {RASP} and ATTERO relations are as healthy as ever and that the leadership of both tribes respects each others diplomacy and wishes.

Klouwe: RASP and ATTERO together own now 51.7% of the world. In time that dominance will only grow. Wouldn’t it be much more exciting to see soon a war between the 2 biggest powers in W11?

playerhater11234:  We’ve had a deal between our tribes for a very long time now, the details of which I will leave out. I’m sure that the world would love to see the two of us fight it out, and it will inevitably happen one day, but for now, I think we’re just trying to let the suspense build…

Klouwe: You are n°1 player in the ODA-ranking. Congratulations with that achievement! Who was your favourite target during gaining all that nice ODA?

playerhater11234: Thanks!… I’d have to say that kaitz has probably been my favorite victim so far. He’s been a much more worthy opponent than anyone else I can remember. Anyone that can take over a month of having his villages catapulted and still put up a good fight has earned my respect…

Klouwe: What would you pick if you are only allowed to have 1 sort of drink for the rest of your life?

playerhater11234: Haha, funny you asked me that. My drink of choice is and always will be MILK. I love milk, and my friends always make fun of me because that’s all I ever drink. If they drink water, I drink milk. If they drink soda…. I drink milk. If they drink beer…………….. I drink milk. I couldn’t live without milk… and all i eat is beef…
