So, its a new day, new week and I’m back to school. Today… I hit the rank of 1,000. I find the climb from here to be slow and steady.
So, the news today is that ~L~ merged with PWO.
It also seems that Rage is losing ground to a few tribes.
In the south, it is difficult to see what is happening, it is all a big melting pot and I do not know who will emerge victorious.

Sorry for the short post, but that is all I can offer for this week.
This week we are met again with our several great wars. The video blog has some great new features, and we have a winner from last week’s contest! Please enter this week’s contest. I hope some of the previous problems brought forward by watchers have been fixed, if not, that’s a different problem.
Thanks,
-Samulis

Hello fellow citizens of Tribalwarsland!
Well, it’s not the beginning of the end, it’s more of the end of the beginning of this war. Now it will enter a more subtle phase, with scattered mass OPs and such spread throughout the durration. This is when the real test of strength and endurance begins and several world superpowers collide and come apart in a sort of dance of death.
Anyway, Flash practically drove me insane in the process of making this, so I will probably make a SECOND HALF of the film instead of just one part. Edit: I found the high-quality sound was making flash go crazy, so I changed it to high quality mp3 files, which flash LOVES. This week is John Williams week, featuring some of his most known compositions. If you can name all four pieces and/or which movies they are from and either mail the list to me or post it in the W9 Blog discussion forum, your name will be featured in next week’s blog. I also added some fun side-features and such so you don’t all get bored to death. The War Stats are MISSING. I will add them tomorrow. There are a few un-removable glitches that pop in and out, so don’t panic if it freezes on a blank page that says ‘nobling map’ in the top corner, just refresh the page.

In other news:
Half-Priced coins are to be implemented in the upcomming weeks (according to King Wenseslesas Shugarpuff of Tribalwarsland in a recent mass message to the world).
[IB] has sprung back and holds a fair-sized harvest on the nobling map.
DNS is continuing to run over RAW, however, according to the numbers, ~DNS~ has mysteriously lost over half their points in the last several weeks.

Newly Unfolding Events: The most notable occurrence in world 7 this past week was the combining of PTT-G and PTT-B into one tribe: PTT. The move apparently was not without its stressors, as one of PTT-G’s top players and 3rd largest player in the gameworld did not join the new tribe. Instead, Mynizzle, the disgruntled -G player, temporarily joined with Kylan in a reformed T.F.B Elite tribe, then left to create his own solo tribe just a couple days later. What does all this mean?? Has PTT become a slum of internal unrest, or has the merge brought them closer into a single unified team? The same questions could be asked of -WE-, with kylan leaving and recreating T.F.B. On top of all this, reports have been swirling (Enhanced by PTT propoganda) of FxF and -WE- relations turning sour. So are new changes afoot in world 7 that could bring back a glimmer of hope to the PTT team? Who knows. Only time will tell, but it is clear that at least some things will remain the same forever: PTT will always boot members that are getting nobled rapidly.
Random Stuff: Lazerus had the idea to come up with some of the worst tribal plans/ideas that have been made thus far in world 7. This was his short and abridged, albeit funny, list:
1. Troy/EMP attempting to backstab TFB and thusly getting themselves destroyed in a hasty manner
2. THE’s requirement for all players to noble five(5) 100-point barbs this past spring (almost none of the players survived in THE long enough to see their weeds grow up)
3. PTT attacking carlyle… again and again and again with a unique type of failure on each major operation.
I couldn’t think of anything worse/funnier than these three, so I figured it was a pretty good top-3. Thanks, laz!
WarStats Summaries for the past month are actually the best that PTT has seen since the start of the war. Here they are :

for the sake of simplicity, I will keep my regular dialogue short. There is one thing, and only one thing that has been uttered out of the many mouths of World 9 for the past week- war. As I last stated, DNS and the RAW family have declared war on each other, finalized in a statement on the forums by the duke of DNS. In this standard blog edition I bring forth into the light the events of this past week, mostly the war stats. Added onto new backgrounds is the newest edition of interviews, brand-new features, and the return of commentaries on the nobling map.
And, of course, the greatest improvement in the last two weeks, you now only have to click a button once to move, and the weeks’ theme for music is Lord of the Rings- showcasing several beautiful pieces by Howard Shore for the trilogy.

Yeah, I realize the fact that I haven’t been on tribal wars as much as usual lately. I understand that everyone is emotinally crushed during any periods of my absence. Who would have thought going to college could cut into tribal wars time? :S

W11 SPOTLIGHT PLAYER OF THE WEEK
This week we have Al_Capone in the house. He’s Ex-Duke of N* and =NN=, now in {RASP}.
bl00d: With Jotad on the downhill slide, why do you think their top 4 players didn’t accept the invite to {RASP}?
Al: I believe that many players from jotad are still very loyal to their tribe, and the name it has, and i see a fair few of them staying on until the end. To be honest, i also feel that they are a bit worried aswell, at the moment they are big fish in a small pond, in {RASP} they would just be regular sized members and not amazing in comparison to the rest of the tribe. Then there is also the problem of positioning, i have only had time to check a few villages, but it seems that the ones i have checked are a bit out of the way from {RASP}s main cluster, this may leave them feeling vunurable. They may also be hoping the Jotad will pull through, and there is every possibility they might, i have seen tribes come back from worse.
bl00d: It seems that =NN= has collapsed. How come?
Al: Well, I think they started falling when studentas started keeping things from his co-dukes and stipped me of all my privalages. Studentas told the other dukes nothing of the talk that was going on about a merge with {RASP} and of a few other things i shall keep quiet about. He also decided to strip me of my privs, because i was inviting smaller players (which there was a plan for.) But obviously, with all the work I had put into the tribe i was not best pleased, so left as soon as I did not get an explination from studentas as to why he did he (he explained his reasons at a later date) Well at this point, a few people asked to follow me, and the other two co-dukes and a council member left, just because they were not too happy with the way studentas dealt with things. Well, of course, since =NN= had then lost four or its most prominant members, others decided to leave for {RASP} and other tribes. At this point, ra666999 started talking to me, and asked me to return and help in leading the tribe. He also managed to get rid of studentas by this point (god knows how.) And since then not much has changed, not many members have joined, as the main ones have been taken, but saying that, not many have left.
bl00d: {RASP} is double the size of the 2nd place tribe, ATTERO. Do you think anyone will catch {RASP} in ranks?
Al: Haha, well, of course, i cant say too much. but, as things lie, i would say no, just because of the sheer size. Though, it depends on what other tribes ATTERO was going to work with if they decided to war {RASP}. Without war, i feel that with some correct merging and recruiting ATTERO might not quite catch up, but oculd come close, though, i do not see this happening, as we have very experienced, good and active dukes.
bl00d: The stats seem to be building against Jotad. Have they given up hope or are they still making the same effort as when MCD was around?
Al: Well, i cannot say, as i am not in the tribe, but it seems that they have given up, i still believe that the best course of action for them would be to take their most active members and merge with =NN=, and maybe recruit a few other players aswell. They do not seem to be making the same effort as they did when MCD was around, no, but behind the scenes things may be different. Saying that, i feel that if they all knuckled down, and really got stuck in, they could start to pull back, as i said earlier, i have seen other tribes come back from worse, they are still good players, they just seem to have gone a bit inactive. Though, its always calm before the storm.
bl00d: Look outside right now; what do you see?
Al: I see you. Well, your outside for me, i live in a carboard box outside your house, and you are outside my box, therefore you are outside.
Haha, thanks Al. I just checked on him, he’s doing great in his box.

You heard me folks, DNS has declared war on RAW today, September 1st, at 7:53 GMT-5 time on the forums:
http://forum.tribalwars.net/showthread.php?t=165055
This brings forward an important issue I covered several days ago: What WOULD happen if they warred? Well, the stats say DNS will sweep RAW clean off the map, but mabye our friends over in RAW will have some tricks.
Here are the official sides for this World War:
Side 1:
Tribes: RAW SOFt EDGE EDW Devil
Side 2:
Tribes: DNS DNSPC ~DNS~ ANK
This war encompasses several of the top 10 tribes, thus making it a true World War. Be prepared for a week of blood and slaugter worse than any this world has ever seen, my fellow world 9ers, be prepared. The first stats have been a pretty clear sweep with DNS delivering some crushing blows. In only the first 24 hours, there were over 60 noblings (that was just after war was declared). More information on the war and some opinions (very slanted towards DNS) can be found at the thread above. I will release more info atleast twice a week from now on, to supliment the regular weekly flash video, although most estimates claim that RAW will be crushed within 7 days…
-Samulis for World 9

Hey guys so I have been away for last week, I will explain why. It seems since I something has come up and if I have any chance of getting somewhere I have put a lot of time towards it to get somewhere. Along with that I am fasting meaning I can eat for around 16 hours which makes me extremely tired and it is very difficult for me to produce anything in that state of mind. I hope that clears things up. Fact is because I missed last week I have missed a few major events and for me to understand what has happened I have to be there to catch reactions and different views to be able to put something together so it was very hard writing some things up so I have stuck with stats to make my life and to not get you guys confused. Anyway shall we begin…

Since I have been away I missed the conflict between –GA- and PARAS which makes it difficult for me because I have to be there to understand what exactly is going on, so I got some help especially from a good friend enark who broke down what has happened this week so far. Okay so let’s begin.
Over the last week, tension began to build as the NAP held between PARAS and GA began to wear thin.
GA’s alliance with Empire was the greatest giveaway that something was brewing, as just hours beforehand, Empire had “declared war” on GA. Of course, the fact that there were multiple war discussion threads created in GA’s forum after the NAP added to the uncertainty.
Dezachu posted on our shared forum on the 28th of August, that at 18:00 server time GA would break the NAP.Both sides began executing their attack plan; GA’s including the nobling of as many barbarian villages as possible….PARAS clearing and taking as many -GA- as possible.
Being completely surrounded, the K45 PARAS members have somehow managed to survive 1000 axe men nukes, and rough it out through noble attacks consisting of 100 swordsmen and a noblemen.
NOTE: This is not very accurate since it is all based on comparison of points. I have looked for loss in points meaning dealt damage or have been nobled. This doesn’t mean the casualties have been caused by the opposite side. This just gives you a rough idea of where the tribe is currently at.
Players that have taken causalities:
- PARAS
- -GA-
- KILL
- Empire
This allows us to look at tribes current situations.
We can clearly see PARAS aren’t having many problems with the fact that they only have 4 players up there; I can’t say the same for side 2. It seems PARAS are displaying they are rank 1 for a reason by clearly dealing with the situation with great accomplishments. We can see the total causalities to look at it in a different view:
Now looking at the figures like this you can see the difference in figures. Sure PARAS have lower casualties but they have fewer members. Looking at side 2 they have 6.25 times the number of side 1 but then again they have 3.52 more members than side 1 meaning there is much more opportunity for attack and a high probability of it. Considering side 2 have much more members it should be easier for them to plan strategic attacks and we should be seeing a large sum of severe injuries towards side 1 but it seems they have prepared and dealt with them. Now this all being said I have no idea from when this war began since like I said I missed it so I had to do a little digging. Overall for we know these injuries might be caused by other tribes inflicted before this world, we can say this because of the fact the lower ranked tribes seem to have more injuries either meaning there rank is less intimidating leading to more attacks on them and that may be why PARAS have a few scratches.

Kuchiki: Hello Nima, and thank you for taking time out of your day to answer these questions for me!
Nima Unknown: Hi Kuchiki
no problems. thank you for taking your time to interview me
Kuchiki: Great. Now, how long have you been playing Tribalwars to date? And what interesting figures have you met across your times playing that have followed you to this world?
Nima Unknown: hmm. i started playing TW the day world 5 started in .netWorld 8 was one of the most interesting worlds for me. i created a mass recruiting tribe there. we came up to rank 5 and it was a decent tribe. after a while we merged into REL that was a part of bloc alliance there
i made a lot of friends and almost no enemies in the worlds i played and i turned into an ok player after a while.
world 40 i was Rank1 ODA1. after a while, i got bored and decided to leave that world. .co.uk server catched my attention and it was close to w2’s start there. i tried to find a premade to join but none of them satisfied me to be honest. so i decided to make my own premade
Kuchiki: Has your past experience or the famous figures that you have met helped improve your game play or knowledge of the game?
Nima Unknown: I think my past experience. i made a lot of mistakes and learned a lot from them
Kuchiki: Nima Unknown is an interesting name; can you tell me where it originated from and why you chose this name?
Nima Unknown: Nima is my RL name it is a persian name.
and Unknown… well, when i came on internet for the first time in my life, my friend told me i should select a name for myself. in those first days i didn’t want to be known by anyone on internet so i selected “Unknown” as my nick
Kuchiki: So why leave w40, such a s succesful world world for you where you had a big name and were in a big tribe?
Nima Unknown: I joined w40 only to be in spaggy’s last tribe. i didn’t like it’s settings.
A lot of people i knew in that world and had fun being with them left the world. it wasn’t as interesting as before for me. so i left
Kuchiki: So why a tribe on uk2 I meanwas it something you felt you had to do or wanted to do?
Nima Unknown: No. it was simply the first world that started after i left world 40
Kuchiki: what do you think you have acmplished on w40?
Nima Unknown: I had fun, got some good reputation and experience, and made a lot of friends
Kuchiki:How is your tribe doing on w2, I understand BP is over so has your experience rubbed off on them?
Nima Unknown: I think we are doing OK. We have many great players who I know and trust. And we have a lot of helpful players who accept to sit others and help when needed. Quite a good tribe in my own eyes
Kuchiki: since I have asked every other question through moneyman I think thats it. Thank you for taking the time to answer these questions for me!
Nima Unknown: OK. Thanks Kuchiki

A tribe most of us loved have died. It all began when h0llygh0st founder of APATHY decided to leave TW, reasons I am not too clear on. The main reason is that H0lly was quitting the world, and didnt want to stunt the other members of Apathy to much with a war that he wouldnt see to the finish. so please take time out of you day to shoe some respect to the fallen comrdads. Wish h0lly all the best and members of APATHY.
Okay I would post the weekly awards but they arent very popular anymore since I am not seeing much votes coming in especialy none this week so I am sorry. If there are any issues feel free to PM me.
Okay I am working on a new interactive crossword for w40 wich should be up next week, hope you like it.
If there are any issues you would like to talk to me about regarding this blog feel free to PM me.

Hello all you TWites.
I do hope that you are well, and haven’t been too disappointed in my late blog. Unfortunately it seems that as time ticks by slowly, this week there has been a distinct lack of news in w27, so much so that I can sum up the world in 3 bullet points!
- The ‘world war’ between Shadow and Most other tribes in the top 10 continues, with Shadow continuing to extend their impressive gain over the rest of the world.
- The Coalition remains leaderless, and seem to be adrift. Unless someone steps up to lead this fight they may be crushed sooner than later.
- REF have remained fairly silent, only having skirmishes with Shadow, with no real commitment being put in by either side (although REF still seem to have better stats against Shadow than some of the tribes that are at war with shadow).
Because there has been a lack of reportable news instead I decided to pen down my thoughts on the state of Tribal Wars. Recently I wrote an article on the state of faking within TW which was intended for this blog (despite getting an early publish in the TW27 weekly), so I hope you enjoy; any comments, criticisms or gripes will be happily taken on board (and mocked!)
The Death of the Fake
Over a couple of conversations over a number of worlds it’s come to my attention that many players no longer really understand what faking really is. A couple of recent attacks against my accounts and some that I sit have shown that faking seems to be almost a lost art.
I was recently asked when setting up a recent attack, why I didn’t just rely on fake scripts to send fakes. This question perplexed me for a while, as I’d never really thought about it seriously, however after a conversation with the player I was able to show him why scripts aren’t particularly great at the job that they are meant to do; it was my realisation with the advent of scripts that have the ability to save us allot of time, many players (especially the newer ones who have grown up exclusively using scripts) don’t really understand what faking players is really meant to do, and that just running a script a couple hundred times doesn’t really provide adequate cover if you are planning on attacking targets with a large amount of nobles and nukes.
The whole idea behind a fake attack is that they are meant to mask attacks that are being sent at a player in an attempt to significantly deter a player from supporting the villages that are the real targets of the planned attack, they do this by confusing a player and hopefully drawing support to other targets, which makes the real target more vulnerable than if the fakes had not been sent. Unfortunately fake scripts do not realistically have this effect. Fake scripts (or at least the ones that I have seen knocking around) choose a random village from a pre-selected set of villages and send a single ram (or whatever troop input that you’ve chosen), while this does up a players attack counter, there is very little else that the attack does; because the attack is an isolated attack and not part of a series, anybody with any amount of experience and nouce will recognise it and either move troops (in case it’s a random nuke) or worse ignore it. Now I’m not saying that fake scripts don’t have their uses, used in conjunction with effective faking, they can add pressure to players and significantly improve the chance of attacks being successful, however their use as the exclusive mode of faking is severely ineffective when it comes to fighting anyone of experience.
Now not all players will do this, newer players who haven’t had the dubious pleasure of being attacked often may panic purely at a swarm of attacks and scream for support to all of their villages purely by seeing a mass of attacks. However if there are experienced heads in the tribe they are often able to calm the player down and show them how to navigate these attacks, analyse what the attacks are, and diagnose what is actually getting attacked by nobles and what actually needs support and what can be ignored. While some players are impervious to this brand of common sense it does help many players see what is there and subsequently navigate the attacks and any subsequent attacks with minimum losses to their village count.
The crooks of the problem is that many players on offense do not really see the need to change the way they attack, often finding that in the early/mid game, that players are that inexperienced that fake scripts are successful, and it isn’t until they come up against someone with a bit of skill (or someone who’s being tutored by someone with a bit of experience) that this ceases to work. This leads to a situation which we have today, where many players no longer understand what faking really should be, because they simply haven’t had to rely on anything more than a fake script and will enough to press it a couple hundred times.
So the question is where does this leave us now? Will there be a situation where real faking slowly fades out as the older worlds wind down, or will this skill slowly permeate the newer worlds as players become more experienced after finding that fake scripts are inadequate? I guess only time will tell.
